Exactly. I've gutted and packed a many a grouper and it is just another fish, albeit sometimes a bigger one. I fished commercial grouper boats for years.

I lived in Florida in the late 50's- early 60's. I don't think there were any rules or licenses for saltwater fishing then. No limits or seasons that I know of.
The limit was all you could carry, plus one...lol

All I can say is that is 200lbs of good eating laying on that deck.
I would go out and buy a Gas outdoor Fryer and have a nice Fish Fry with that.
Of course I would grill some of it too.
