Some light reading between revelations in the ongoing Anna Nicole Smith crisis...
Light reading? OK... : )
Ping.
Thanks for the ping! Pretty much sums it up on Arkin.
This is one where you are best to refuse to accept the premise as a basis for debate. We do not have a mercenary force. Next question?
Arkin needs to have his silly face punched out. Hard.
Only the MSM would employee a man who worked as an Army clerk for four years as "an expert military analyst." LOL!
One of the good things that came out of this is that it made me feel that there is a conscience out there...the behavior of Retired Colonel Ken Allard, former NBC Military Analyst.
He recently resigned from NBC over the statements made by William Arkin. My estimation of Colonel Arkin went up %100 percent when he resigned.
Read his Magnus Opus here:

To be fair, I do not know what his views were leading up to Operation Iraqi Freedom, he may have been one of the "10,000 body bag" analysts, but I am willing to give the Colonel a salute on his stand and accept his viewpoints in spirit because he has shown principle. He has at least stopped digging hole for his conscience, and climbed out of that hole.
Colonel, if you read this, I salute you and would shake your hand. All previous sins incurred as a result of working for NBC (or any other branch of the MSM) are cleared from your record...:)
(Shakes hand and salutes...)
you mean you aren't worried about that baby and her millions?
This is a multi-decade effort to subvert our country. Thank you for your efforts to stem the tide.
Regards,
TS
One way to "excise this cancer of hate from our midst" is to continue to expose who the anti-American reporters, columnists, and commentators are in the MSM, and to bring pressure to bear on the commercial sponsors of these publications, cable network news channels, etc.
All the leftist MSM publications have been losing readership and ad revenue (Balto Sun, Phila Inquirer, NYT, etc). Obviously we are hurting them in the pocketbook and this needs to continue.
I do not advocate "censorship" but I do advocate "accuracy" in writing. If it is an "opinion" piece, so be it, but if the writer makes a serious mistake, point it out, provide documentation to show where it is wrong, and press for a "correction" either by the writer or the publication/show.
This will let them know that knowledgeable people are reading/watching and will NOT let them get away with blatant bias, ignorance, or deliberate disinformation/distortions/omissions.
PS: to other bloggers, Anna Nicole Smith was a lot nicer human being than William Arkin. It is a shame that we have to bury her, and not him.
Also: Two great, patriotic journalists have died recently, Ralph DeToledano and Ray Cromley (both friends of mine from our Pentagon-covering days or the Council Against Communist Aggression/McDowell Luncheons). Ralph liked to expose Soviet spies while Ray, an old Marine, always wrote positively our of troops in Vietnam (he was and will always be "an officer and a gentleman"). RIP my friends.
If the Florida circus continues much longer, she won't have to be buried, they can just blow her away.
BTW, Jack Anderson is one of my favorite true journalists. I miss his missives.
You may be the only person I know who would consider this a "summary." :)>
On behalf of the entire Chamber of Commerce, welcome back to FR...
IPS has always been redder than red.
Yep. I agree with Max's assessment of "Covert Cadre" -- that's an amazing book.
Great article. These old New York Commies are still with us, mainly in media and the so-called "think tanks".
I used to infiltrate their cell meetings in Brooklyn in the fifties. There was a whole cadre teaching at Brooklyn College and trying to recruit students.
They should all be exposed whenever possible.
You did a good job on Arkin.
