Because they could.

Have you seen the movie "Breach" about the spy Hansson? Such cold-blooded evil is truly frightening.

No modern government (free or dictator) will tolerate an organized and armed nongovernment paramilitary within their borders. Branch Davidians became a red flag when they owned 200 legal AR-15 rifles, and attempted to create a cohesive military unit. The government will tolerate 200 men, each owning one rifle or one collector with 200 different types of rifles, but never 200 men armed with one type of weapon, organized into a unified cohesive combat unit not under government jurisdiction. Sooner or later, the feds will find something to arrest them. They will send in provacateurs or act on any minute legal violation or complaint in order to initiate the seizure of all the firearms. All governments want internal security in one form or another. Allowing small militias that can potentially grow into large militias will be seen as a potential threat.

The hidden story here is that the only government law enforcemnt people killed at waco were all former clintoon bodyguards.

I seem to recall that they were bodyguards that would know "where the bodies are buried" as it were. Supposedly one or two of them had talked about how they were getting as many women for Hillary as they were for Bill.

Why aren't all illegals treated like Gonzales?

Similar to the Vince Foster case. We expect too much when we only want a reasonable answer.

What is your source for saying that the Davidians "attempted to create a cohesive military unit"?

I have read just about everything published on this subject and hadn't seen that before.

They built rifles from kits and sold them at gun shows to make money. Several of the men did stand guard at night, and many practiced shooting. But I've never seen evidence of them training or fielding a "unified cohesive combat unit."

"ATF wanted a big staged event before budget time"

You hit the nail on the head.

The story here in North Texas is that they tapped into the governments computers and downloaded a sizable amount of forbidden knowledge. Something else, we were in one of our normal dry spells the forecast was for wind warnings on the lakes, so for 3 days the APC's cut a very large firebreak around the compound. Now why would they do that?

You would think so, however, if you look at the posters on FR, you discover that at least 1/3 of self-identifying conservatives don't give a rip about the 2nd Amendment or most of the Constitution for that matter. Some of them get a pass because they've never seen a copy of the document and would need an interpreter to make their way through it; others are old enough to know better, but prefer that it be a "living" document as most of the liberals do.

Gonzales wasn't illegal. He was legal under the "wet foot, dry foot" Cuban policy. He was "special" under the unwritten laws of the Clintons and Janet Reno, the law that says, "Give our buddy and fellow comrade Fidel what he wants."

I figure that they are only here for the money. The only reason they fear the libs is that the libs are bad for business.

Rumor or Truth? Hillary ordered the burning of the compound to put an end to the standoff and Vince Foster was so sickened by it that he was going to resign his position. Vince's mistake was verbalizing his intent of not hiding the truth about the Waco massacre.

You also heard about the Davidians being drug dealers and have a drug lab.

This was garbage as well.

My understanding is the Davidians purchased the foreclosed property after it's drug-dealing previous owners were busted and put out of business.

Perhaps you could get Fitz to start an investigation into the Waco mess? The whole thing smelled including the MSM coverage.

Your understanding is partially correct. In fact, Koresh himself discovered drug lab elements and materials left behind by former occupants of the property, and called the sheriff to have them removed.
