Remembering that conservatives answer with a 'yes' or 'no' answer when asked for only a 'yes' or 'no' answer (unlike Liberals or Dims who will NEVER say either of those two words in direct response to any question) ... let's take these very broad yes/no issue questions: a.)Pro GUN CONTROL? YES... .b.)PRO Civil Unions? YES... c.)PRO GAY ADOPTION? AS A last resort. YES... d.)Anti Death Penalty? YES

I agree with Bill on all these, given certain circumstances, and I think you and the rest here on FR would also.

I don't believe felony criminals or the insane should be allowed guns. Although I personally don't condone gay life-styles, leave them have 'civil unions', as long as it isn't referred to as 'marriage'. Also, as last resort, adoption option. Lastly, I worked at a large maximum security prison. It takes average of 13+ years and millions of dollars before we get a convicted murderer strapped down. I know what happens when their sentence is for life in solitary confinement. I prefer this sentencing. One hour of exercise (standing) in a barbed wire cage per day and 2 showers a week is hell. They usually don't last long. They go completely insane and later hang-up with a bedsheet.

That's not gun control. That's addressing the problem with the people as it should be. Those individuals have been adjudicated through the system (presumably the insane have been found that way by a qualified psychiatrist because they've committed a CRIME). Those targeted groups HAVE NO CIVIL RIGHTS. Therefore they have no 2nd Amendment rights. I'll say it again, what you suggest is not a valid defination for gun control. Anything further, including the ridiculous controls on full auto firearms...is something with which I disagree. I also disagree with the need to have a CCW "permit" system. This country should follow the Vermont model. I suspect that assertion would drive Bill into full rant mode.

Good when you screw up on your business taxes or run afoul of the many laws now constituting felony known and unknown most of which are non violent, I'm very certain we can count on you to turn all weapons in that you own. Just give them to me I'll take them off your hands.

Simply make it a law any person convicted and on probation for a violent crime INVOLVING A FIREARM be denied the right to own one. Enforcement? Very simple. Catch said person with such on their person and arrest them. Put them away the remainder of their sentence plus 20 years. End of problem.

As for the rest of the law abiding citizens of this nation? Rescind each and every federal and state gun law on the books including waiting periods, back ground checks, licensing, and permits, etc which will end gun control. Will Rudy propose doing that? Of course not. He will propose making it even harder for We The People to own weapons much less carry.

If you believe he will do otherwise can I sell you a bridge in Brooklyn? Big Brother knows best and Big Brother Control is Rudy's way of life. He will not get in office on my vote.

Read the articles by Stanley Kurtz posted at Free Republic. The societal damage of homosexual marriage is mostly the same as civil unions. If homosexual civil unions are allowed, there is no reason to not allow homosexual marriage. The bulk of damage to society has also been done.
