(CBS) This segment originally aired on Sept. 26, 2004.
Who is Bill O'Reilly? Is he a patriot? A blowhard? A braggart? A bully?
Well, it turns out, there's a lot more to him than any of that. Since Mike Wallace sat down with him in 2004, he has maintained his domination of cable news, competitors have tried to copy him, and four nights a week, perhaps the ultimate flattery, Steven Colbert parodies him on Comedy Central. But Wallace found the man, talking about himself, full of surprises, and he began with one.

What I meant really is O'Reilly is just the kind of person who would love one such as Rudy. O'Reilly is a big supporter of the Nanny state. For that matter if not for her scandal he would be just as happy with Hillary as well.

I bet you just love Larry King! Nope! I rarely watch anything on CNN.
At least Bill is a man.
I don't believe I said he was a women?
Look, to each his or her own. If you enjoy BO'R, that's all that should matter. To me, he's a loud mouth bully who wouldn't recognize a good interview if it were to bite him in the arse.
To: leadpenny
How would you know, you don't seem to watch anything.

leave them have 'civil unions', as long as it isn't referred to as 'marriage'.Read the articles by Stanley Kurtz posted at Free Republic. The societal damage of homosexual marriage is mostly the same as civil unions. If homosexual civil unions are allowed, there is no reason to not allow homosexual marriage. The bulk of damage to society has also been done.

. . . nothing, I guess you're right. But, if you throw in 2-3 hours of lurking and posting on FR, I'd say I'm adequately wired in.

My daughter died in 2004 and I had quit watching him way before that. I just did not like his attitude.

Okay.....I'll bite. What's he do "for the children"?

BOR has never claimed to be a conservative, so I'm not really surprised about where he stands on the issues. That doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that he claims to be "lookin' out for you" and that he's "no spin." Well, he's always come across as egotistical but, after seeing him spin the Hornbeck comments, I'm convinced that he's only "lookin' out for Bill!"

The way you view Savage I view Glen Beck to the third power.
Can't stand Beck. He is just annoying to me. I start to cringe any time I hear they guy talk.

Funny that is exactly the way I view Bill O'Reilly. Sorry I do not view Savage the same way.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. How are you doing?

Our Public Schools have been going in the Toilet since the creation of the Department of Education. The Teachers Unions are the biggest problem. They seem to care more about their dam jobs, then future generations.

When she died we were absolutely devastated. All I did was cry for many many months afterwords. She had complications of Crohn's Disease. She was 31. We did everything together and she touched many lives over her lifetime. We received cards from people we did not know. In fact, we had never heard of them. They had met her and she touched their lives. After my husband died in July, 2006, I knew that her death was for the best. My husband could not have stood leaving her behind with all of her health problems and he knew that she could not have made it without him. I told someone in the family that after he died and they came up to me later and said they agreed with me. That may sound crazy but we really believe that. My mom was the glue that held the family together! She was an amazing Christian lady who had had much heartache over the years. Her dad died when she was about 21, all of her siblings except for one sister had gone on ahead of her. She had lost a daughter, a son, a granddaughter, grandson, great-grandson, and many cousins. Most of her childhood friends were gone too. People are amazed at how well I am doing. Like I told someone on this site and at church, I could either have the biggest pity party the world had ever seen or I could pop back up like that kid's punching toy. I hate parties so I chose the other. Sure I miss them but I know I will see them again and they will not have any health problems. I may not know the reason so much has happened to us but God does and that is what is important. I just have to trust Him which I do. Am I on a soapbox????
My mom had 3 living children, 14 grandchildren, 24 greats, and 5 gggrandchildren. The youngest was just a month old.

Your previous post was so exaggerated it disgraces a prize winning SS teacher. It was no exaggeration. I read your about page. You're a retired professor? I seriously doubt you've spent time in the trenches I've slogged thru these last eleven of my eighteen years of service. I've got the liberal agenda on one side with warm & fuzzy pabulum to feed the children that does nothing to prepare them for anything except to be good little drones in the new order and on the other side I've got the likes of MS13 (you've heard of the deadliest street gang in the world?) siffing my school perimeter, lusting for recruits. If we fail these kids MS 13 wins and the country loses...big time. CLAMs (Congressional Left, ACADEMIC elite and Media statists) are part of the problem over which I have no control. All I can do is teach these kids how to spot the AGENDA and hope they remember how to think and question for themselves. Those ACADEMIC Elitists? Those are the college profs. An actual conservative in a college classroom? Just about as likely as OBL converting to Christianity after enrolling at Brigham Young University....
