Just what ARE Rudy's qualifications that make him the "BEST man to lead as CIC?"

Please, I'd really like to know.

Do none of our other Republican candidates even compare to Rudy's superior military/war experience and knowledge?

What difference does it make? He's the RNC Anointed One.

I see Rudy as the MSM's anointed one. They are the one's pushing the Rudy polls. They are the one's who pay for the Rudy push-polls. And they know a Rudy candidacy would split the conservative electorate, giving us Hillary victory.

And you want to know the neatest MSM trick of all. They will have you believing that it was some man behind a curtain in the deep dark bowels of RNC headquarters, pushing buttons and anointing Rudy.

I know many people argue that keeping and bearing arms is federally guaranteed right as stated in the Second Amendment of the Constitution. But even in the Second Amendment, it refers to firearms in the context of a well regulated militia, and well regulated is what we're trying to accomplish.

My point was that while Giuliani did some admirable things while mayor of NY, including some of his fiscal policies, I remain unconvinced that he is a fiscal conservative. Since he has yet to address any issues regarding economic policy in this campaign and his record as mayor is mixed I'll wait and see.

His record and current positions on social issues is atrocious so, like you, I'm hoping a conservative candidate that I can support emerges.

"Rudy APPEARS to want to be tough on the WOT, that being his only appeal here, but his choice of dress style on occasion has me a tad worried. LOL "

Giuliana Partners LLC are indeed very interested in the WOT. They are mostly former Giuliana associates from NYC govt. They specialize in Corporate saftey and security. They claim a specialty in terrorism.

So if the the WOT is anything for Rudy G-man, we should realize that continuing terrorism's threat means mega dollars for the Giuliana Partners LLC.

I smell a conflict of interest.

"The gift:" I wonder how TBL Show is doing these days? You have to admit, he was a colorful character.

As for the token thing, who knew you were in favor of affirmative action. :)

"I would take Federal licensing in a flash. "

So those people who only have to show some id or a CCW license should be happy to have more restrictive handgun licensing?

"With the country as it is, it would probably be 'must issue' with a liability insurance requirement. Those of us in NYC would be able to own guns."

Ah, so you want to screw the rest of the country because you live in NY city and want to own a gun. Guess what - that's your problem, not the other 99% of the country that you live where you do.

And the current political climate? The one with dems in control of congress where they just proposed a new AWB?

"Those in more rural states could use state law, if they like it better."

Yes, because the feds are big on letting states have looser standards than the ones they pass. Just look at what they did with highway funds for the minimum drinking age and minimum BAC. They love passing laws and not seizing power!

It's funny. You live in a city with restrictive gun laws. You think passing a federal licensing scheme which would harm 99% of the country would be a great boon to gun rights. And you think that if rudy is in charge,he's going to have one MORE friendly to gun owners than the one he enforced in NY city!

Yikes.

Evidently, you are unable to follow a simple argument.

Evidently, you are a gun-grabbing idiot.

Discussing this with you is the same as discussing cleanliness with a roach.

We have different standards.

I can deal with facts. They are what I use against the rudy bots and liberals. And they hate it. They call it "old news" or "distortions" when rudy's own words and positions are used to discredit him.

You, on the other hand, have owning fawning words of praise for rudy that are more in line with advertising him on a personals web site than they are substantive qualifications for being president.

Yeah, I know. I went to Rudy's campaign web site expecting to learn a lot about his vision for America, his plans for the war and what he's going to do about Iran, Syria, North Korea, etc, and how he's going to cut government, cut spending, cut taxes, etc. Nada. Nothing there.

I came away with a real empty feeling. Our frontrunner is an empty suit running on name recognition only, or what?

You mean the same MSM that wants us to believe Hillary is unbeatable by a truly CONSERVATIVE candidate? I liked what Rudy did for NYC when he was Mayor but...NYC isn't exactly 'America' now, is it. And I still say Rudy is the Anointed One --- of the RNC, the MSM, the CFR...even the DNC.

I think just the fact that we are having this discussion on FR - a very heated discussion - as they all end up being, PROVES that Rudy is not the right candidate for this party. Just like Bob Dole was not the right candidate. Rudy is polarizing, just like Hillery is. Apparently, people either love him or hate him. He is a divider - not a uniter.

Pushing Rudy down our throats will ONLY result in defeat for us. I don't care how much fancy math his supporters use (losing a conservative vote just costs one vote - but gaining a liberal vote is worth two votes).

Why on earth there are people in this party who insist on forcing a candidate down people's throats - I'll never understand! I don't even want to hear that bull that to not vote for Rudy is to vote for Her Hindness. That crap doesn't fly with me!

Besides, Hillery is NOT going to be the candidate we run against - you mark my words! The Rudy supporters whole strategery is based on a false premise.

The season is young. Spring is coming, and much will flower and bloom, and flesh out the landscape. As I have said before, let all the GOP candidates run their paces, and have a chance to grab for the gold. They all deserve that -- all of them. I admire them all for running -- I really do.

What are Duncan Hunter's qualifications?

Rudy: For anti-gun laws.

Duncan Hunter: For freedom (Not for anti-gun laws.)

Enough for me.

Duncan Hunter for President!
