Rudy To Attend CPAC
I reported a piece last month about how Rudy and McCain were skipping some conservative conferences. One of the events I mentioned that they had not yet RSVP'd to is the Grandaddy Of Them All -- the Conservative Political Action Conference or CPAC.
Turns out Rudy will attend CPAC. He'll speak to the confab Friday.
Well why are you starting now? Is that really necessary?
By the way: If Giuliani wins the nomination, and conservatives won't support him, it won't be conservatives who will have moved.
I won't call Dirtboy a Nazi. I would not do that. I've parsed words with dirtboy many times on this forum but I don't think he's a Nazi - Just adamant in his feelings about Rudy.
He also saw something in Pataki that we didn't see. Pataki was an ASS of A Republican!
And your subsequent attack on his critics on this thread:
You guys have no loyalty to the party.
So on one hand you try to justify Rudy not supporting Pataki in 1994 - but then you turn around and rip into Rudy critics for wishing to make the same judgement about a GOP candidate that you said was A-OK for Rudy.
Hypocrite.
LOL, looks like I hit a nerve. Let's see what you regard as criteria for "dictatorship."
Every Republican is not good enough - they have to follow your rules your ideals your litmus test.
And what, pray tell is the purpose of a primary if it isn't to determine WHICH Republican is good enough, eh sirrah?
In California we have a "Republican" governor who tore down the banners in the room for the entire Republican ticket so that he wouldn't be photographed supporting them. He's increased spending faster than his Democrat predecessor, he's tripling our debt, and he's endorsed virtually every leftist wet dream imaginable. Arnold is endorsing Rudy too.
You Rudy folks paint us as "100%ers" as if we won't accept anything but perfection. That's horse$shit. Almost all of us supported GWB, and considering his stand on the borders alone he's far from perfect. No, we'd probably support 80% and maybe hold our noses for 70%. Rudy is at 40% at best, so he just doesn't cut it.
So cut out the name calling.
Anbody with the sheer arrogance to pretend authority to tell adults what sourced information or responsible arguments they can and cannot post at FreeRepublic deserves the epithet. I suggest you deal with it or recant.
Not really. just stop the name calling and I'll do it too. No need to name call - just debate the issues. That's all we want.
I sure as heck ain't them guys, but I would. The trouble is him being championed here. I'd much rather we join to support the most conservative candidate, which is Duncan Hunter. If we give our best, most postive and honorable shot, and still Rudy wins, so be it, but until then we should stick to our principles.
I think I might be able to - I just don't know at this point. However, a lot of Rudy boosters have said they could not support McCain if he were the nominee, and I don't see much criticism of that from your side.
So once again, your side fails to follow party loyalty while ripping others who don't
Are you the head of the freepathon?
This is plainly false, as your comments to Spiff alone will attest, but it's good to see that you are recognizing your position as untenable.
"You guys have no loyalty to the party."
If the Party serves abortion flavored koolaid via a crossdressing gungrabber, they forfeit any right to loyalty. Look at the anti-dancing laws your hero pushed in NYC. He is a totalitarian thug who lies. Ask either of his ex-wives.
When I see you trying to rewrite history about EEE, the comparison is apt.
Not to quibble too much, but in my opinion, with Bush we held our noses for about 50%, based on what we knew then, and which has actually dwindled below that. But, with Giuliani we're talking a net gain for the other side, which would put him in the negative range from the conservative viewpoint.
Thanks for your honest answer. Well as for me and many other Rudy supporters we WILL SUPPORT whomever wins the nomination. Even if it is McCain.
Nope. Just one who bumps the threads and would like to see enough support so that we eventually do not need them.
Exactly: Rudy is from a long line of liberal Republicans like Rocky, Javits, Scranton, and Chafee. Don't need them, we already have a Democrat Party.
Thanks, dirtboy
Of course not, you continually provoke any republican. I contend that in truth you are a xlinton-type socialist who will even denigrate Duncan Hunter, if but given the chance.
A matter of weighting with which I won't quibble. As to your observation of his leftward drift, I have no dispute. He's down in the thirties now and his numbers reflect it.
