Almost all of us supported GWB, and considering his stand on the borders alone he's far from perfect. No, we'd probably support 80% and maybe hold our noses for 70%. Rudy is at 40% at best, so he just doesn't cut it.

Not to quibble too much, but in my opinion, with Bush we held our noses for about 50%, based on what we knew then, and which has actually dwindled below that. But, with Giuliani we're talking a net gain for the other side, which would put him in the negative range from the conservative viewpoint.

A matter of weighting with which I won't quibble. As to your observation of his leftward drift, I have no dispute. He's down in the thirties now and his numbers reflect it.
