Greetings from the swamps of Delaware. I was busy singing with the guys at church to participate much on theSunday Morning Talk Show thread on 2/25/07. I did, however and with great joy, peruse the excellent posts later that day and below, I've compiled a Top Ten Posts/Poster for 2/25/07, based on my own likes, dislikes, prejudices, wimsy and wisdom.

Honorable Mention-Snugs

I really ought not to give Snugs this honorable mention as it's almost mean the way she posts pics of great-looking food leaving us salivating here across the mighty Atlantic. Anyway, Snugs' Strawberry Shortcake.

#10-YaYa123

The thread IS about those Sunday Talk shows and a number ten to YAYA for a great summary of the Chris Matthews' liberal fest.

#9-STARWISE

Kudos to Starwise for keeping us updated on that judicial joke known as the Scooter Libby trial.

#8-anita

Thanks to Anita for her always germane and happening Media Nuggets. Also check out her post on military deaths during the Clinton administration and some other great links.

#7-TomGuy

A big salute to TomGuy for this great post on guilt, opportunists and politics.

#6-Alas Babylon!

Kudos to our Sunday host, known affectionately as AB. Thanks for your weekly efforts AB and yon readers should check out this AB pic of Carl Levin's dog.

Some more smiles on this post about a certain peanut farmer.

And just for giggles and grins, a meandering account of AB's Sundays HERE. Hey, All, AB, it's about the Sundays described in the post that we fight to preserve.

#5-Pukin Dog

Well if it wasn't for PD I wouldn't have known that Seymour Hersh was out and about again, uttering nonsense from retired generals. PD puts some of HErsh's allegations to some serious questioning.

Also, check out this post for PD's take on what Iran really wants.

#4-Mia T

Hey Mia T, your montages are known far and wide around FreeRepublic. This is the first time I've seen Mia on the Sunday thread.

Check out Mia's handywork in this post about the Clintons.

More HERE on Geffen, Clinton and Chris Matthews

#3-kabar

Kabar and MNJohnnie got into a rollicking inter-thread debate and these things can get interesting.

Check out this post for some startling enlightenment.

OR more enlightenment HERE.

Finally, one post with Kabar's debate with MNJohnnie. Check the thread because there's plenty of debate and enlightenment for those who so seek.

#2-MNJohnnie

MNJohnnie was on a roll this week. Lots of ranting, lots of debate, lots of truth.

the WORST generation.

Bin Laden's Fatwa.

the Kabar debate continues.

more ranting on the WORST generation.

some Reagan wisdom

#1-Phsstpok

Still I don't know the meaning of this FREEP name but I do know when PHsstpok is on target you're bound to learn something. Coming in as the number one poster for the Sunday Talk Show Thread 2/25/07, based on the opinion of Fishtalk and no one else, PHSSTPOK regales us with the following posts:

-a spot-on analysis of this past November elections.

-Geffen and the gay mafia.

-Blitzer and Seymour Hersh.

-more on Hersh and My Lai.

-a Carter insight about the hostages.

-warning to Democrats.

-like a latter day Demosthenes.

Oh..... my ... !

Thank you very much. I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I want to say that I am very impressed with the way we've bounced back the last few weeks from our doldrums after the election. As a group we've got it back together and this thread, and all of the people who participate, are priceless sources of insight and raw information. I'm extremely proud to be among those mentioned, let alone to be listed first.

I also want to say that, having done my turn in the saddle in the last few weeks myself, I understand and appreciate that there is a downside to this increase in great posts. It makes it really hard for the Jedi Council member doing the review to pick and choose since all of the posts are getting so good! (OK, there was this ONE really bad.... no, I won't go there... <g>)

I want to thank Fishtalk, not only for recognizing my posts this week in this way, but also for the work that went into going through all of the great posts to get to this point. It's getting harder to pick out the "good ones" and it's truly becoming a necessity to read the whole thread to catch all of the gems. These awards pick out a few highlights, point people to good posts they might have missed, but there's much more here, folks. Much more.

Well done to all.

And again, thank you.

By the way, the name Phsstpok is a misspelling of a character from a Larry Niven novel.  A Pak Protector.

I'll leave it to others to figure out my purpose in choosing this nom de plume.
