Utterly surreal. 6 years after 09-11 we have a candidate for President who named Osama Hussein.

Well, not really that unusual.

From the 1960's we have had a consistent crowd suffering from what is called 'white guilt' over the treatment of Black 100 years earlier. Several of the so-called 'Black leaders' have tapped into that and used it as a wedge to shakedown corporations and groups. It has been going on for nearly 50 years, and it has been relatively successful, in the corporate community, political community, Hollywood community, etc.

There is another 'white guilt' that has developed the last 5 years. That is over the treatment of Muslims/Alarmists/Middle Easterners. It is a small, but surprisingly strong group. They are bending over backward to placate and appease. Following very closely the success of the 'Black movement' of the last 50 years, the 'Islamic movement' is tapping into the 'white guilt' they are finding in several groups: corporate community, political community, Hollywood community, etc. Notice how CAIR reacts to ever event or article or speech or report that is negative to Islamists. It is almost identical to the same type of reaction the Jesse Jacksons have made. They get attention, and they get apologies, and they get placations, and they hope to get reparations.

If you think it isn't happening, look at the new Congress and how they are already planning on reeling in the military from the war zones (in the Islamic world). Look at Northwest Airlines. Look at dozens of other examples of how placating Islamists is the newest civil rights movement. And look for it to increase before it ever decreases.

I wonder when white guilt will subside. What is the shelf life?
