Was there ANY mention of the Libby trial on MTP? I'm just catching the end of lively discussion by Russert and the panel.
Russert's just TOO gleeful, animated and jovial today ... makes me concerned about the verdict.
The fact that Byron York is there .. someone who's written extensively about the trial and the players (Russert being #1) and if the subject was avoided .... it is TOO cutesy by half.
Lets say Libby is innocent does he get to go on MTP to talk about it? If he is guilty?
I listened to most but not all of the roundtable with Russert, Dowd, Balz, Kearnes Goodwin and York. I didn't hear any mention of it, but I could have missed it. It certainly wasn't prominent or lengthy if they did say anything.
I did notice that both MTP and FNS insisted on "balance" on their roundtables when discussing the Hillary/Obama kerfuffle they just had to also bring up McCain's attacks on Rumsfeld and Cheney's defense of the former SecDef. If there had been a similar Republican dust up that was news worthy you just know the DBM types would have looked long and hard for a balancing story about Dhimmicrat tensions. (not)
Ah ha!! Tom McGuire, of JustOneMinute, noticed the same thing about TimmytheTuna's show yesterday and Byron York's presence:

Behind The Green Room Door
How does Tim Russert invite Byron York on his show and avoid a discussion of the Libby trial? Easy - he surrounds himself with guests talking about Presidential politics.
When Tim starts appearing with children and puppies, we'll know he has run out of hostages
