VICTORIA February 28, 2007– David Suzuki ended his cross-country marathon for the environment in front of Terry Fox’s statue at Mile Zero in Victoria today with a message of hope.
"Hope is what sustains me – we can never give up hope or stop believing that we can be part of the solution," Dr. Suzuki said as he reached the end of the cross-Canada portion of his 30-day, 41-event tour.
Dr. Suzuki biked the final few kilometres of his "If YOU were Prime Minister.." tour from the Inner Harbour to Mile Zero with about 20 other cyclists with an escort of bicycle police.
