We will also have a rally at the State Capitol Rotunda where we will send a message to the state about how we feel about illegal immigration. This has been changed from 12:00pm to 2:30pm because of another event at the State Capitol. We will invite members of the press to attend.

Found out more about the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock by driving by. It’s under construction by Baldwin & Shell Construction Company. The building is an older buidling being upgraded and expanded. Baldwin and Shell is a company based in Rogers, Arkansas. Their phone # is 479-845-1111. Here are some pictures. Several people, including myself are trying to get information about how this Consulate was set up in the first place. According to Mucci, Pulaski County should have records on the building itself. There’s also supposed to be a way to get information by requesting a report from the Governor’s office.

By the way, in the photos you see that the Mexican Consulate is right next to the Bank of America! This bank recently decided to cater to illegal aliens. I took some photos of the bank as well.

Pulaski County almost raised taxes this year to build more prison beds, but we decided to build a Mexican Consulate instead!

Close up of the construction sign. Rogers, Arkansas is going through it’s own illegal immigration battle after a cop was shot raiding an illegal alien run meth lab.

Bank of illegals in America and the Mexican Consulate together. Illegal alien Meth Labs should come later.

The banner says Costo de mandar dinero a Mexico 0$, in English it’s Cost of sending money to Mexico 0$

THIS CONSULATE IS PAID FOR BY VIEWERS LIKE YOU!

By the way, All of these workers are English speaking Americans building the Mexican Consulates illegals won’t build.

This Consular office was set up without the consent of the people in this community, the citizens of Arkansas, or the state legislature. The Mexican Consulate used an office room in a government building in Little Rock. They were paying $1 a month. The building was originally to be operational by January, but there have been many delays. I believe most Arkansans would prefer the building to be for a business that generates income for the state, what do you think?

What do you mean that the consulate is being paid for by "viewers like you"? What's wrong with the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores paying an AMERICAN COMPANY to build a consulate.

I swear, there's a Pavlovian response from some folks that makes them salivate when you mention the word "Mexico".

We know that at least $10,000 worth of taxmoney used on a backdoor illegal project that is at least several $100,000. We also know that the mexican "government" was allowed to rent office space for $1 while the consulate was being built. Nobody in the state government is willing to admit who is paying for the consulate. You would think they would if the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores was paying for it.
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette; Date:2006 Oct 18; Section:Front Section; Page Number: 1 Mexican Consulate in LR leasing state office for $1 BY DANIEL NASAW ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE The Huckabee administration is giving virtually free temporary office space in Little Rock to Mexican consular officials while the Mexican government prepares to move into a permanent facility later this fall. Consular officials in July established a small office at 26 Corporate Hill Drive off West Markham Street that they’re using as a base of operations while they set up a permanent home. For the privilege, they’re paying Arkansas Rehabilitation Services $1. Rehabilitation Services is a state agency that helps Arkansans with disabilities join the work force. The Arkansas Building Authority, which handles leases for state agencies, values the office space at $572 per month. That agency drew up a lease for the space at that rate last month. Rehabilitation Services hasn’t signed and returned it, officials said. Robert Trevino, commissioner of Rehabilitation Services, said he brokered the $1 deal with the Mexican officials because in his former position as an economic development adviser to Gov. Mike Huckabee, he was involved in the push to attract a Mexican Consulate to Little Rock. But Rep. Bob Mathis, D-Hot Springs, said the state shouldn’t be giving free office space to a foreign government. “It stinks to high heaven,” he said. “If the governor is so strong on this, he’s got a lot of room in that mansion. Let them set up shop in there.” Republican attorney general candidate Gunner DeLay of Fort Smith said he was concerned that state office space in Little Rock was being leased at belowmarket rates. “That’s a rip-off to the taxpayers,” said DeLay, a former state senator. “If these facts were presented to the Legislature, they would be outraged.” DeLay and Sen. Jim Holt, RSpringdale, who is running for lieutenant governor, on Monday called for cuts in state services to illegal aliens and for further enabling the state government to prosecute violators of federal immigration laws. An estimated 30,000 to 40,000 illegal aliens live in Arkansas, attracted to jobs in the state’s construction and poultry industries. In August 2004, in light of the growing Mexican presence in the state, Huckabee and Carlos Garcia De Alba, then the Dallasbased Mexican consul general, announced the plans for a Mexican consulate in Little Rock. De Alba has said that Mexico chose Little Rock for a consulate because the city is centrally located among growing Mexican communities in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Memphis.

Huckabee left computers, fund gutted Hard drives were destroyed; emergency money all spent BY SETH BLOMELEY AND MICHAEL R. WICKLINE ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE This story was published Friday, January 19, 2007

Former Gov. Mike Huckabee depleted the governor's office emergency fund in the final weeks of his administration in part to pay for the destruction of computer hard drives in his office. That left Gov. Mike Beebe, who replaced Huckabee on Jan. 9, with no emergency funds for the last half of fiscal 2007....
According to the Bureau of Legislative Research, Huckabee spent the $500,000 on 22 things, the most being $100,000 for a group called Play It Again Arkansas to purchase [musical] instruments and provide operational funding. Huckabee has been supportive of that group, which distributes used musical instruments to children.
Among other things, he gave $10,000 to the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute to buy a car; $97,000 to the Game and Fish Commission's Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs program; $10,000 TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO HELP IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEXICAN CONSULATE OFFICE...

No doubt all of it is untaxed. Anyone want to call the IRS?

Why would "taxed2death" want taxes on wire transfers? Wouldn't all those extra taxes just raise HIS (Her?) tax burden, since international business depends on these transfers? How do you think the sweatshops that use slave laborers to keep you in cheap consumer goods get paid?

I'd point out that there are a million (and growing) U.S. citizens living in Mexico, and the bulk of remittances are U.S. retirees buying property in the Republic. (http://mexfiles.wordpress.com/2006/09/20/alien-invasion-remittances-to-mexico-etc-oh-my/).

There is a difference between the Mexican government paying for it's own facility and any deal on rental in a federally managed building. You think people would be happy the Mexicans are spending their own money.

As long as they are in this country LEGALLY, I'm happy.
