Keeping tabs on Gov. Bill Richardson as he seeks the Democratic nomination for president ...
HE IS ON A LIQUID DIET: Calling it "Loafgate," a blogger in the crowd at a house party in New Hampshire over the weekend watched Richardson as he visited with folks in the dining room, where potluck goodies were on hand and caught this weird moment: "We watched Richardson, in the middle of a conversation with a NH State Rep., reach down and STROKE the end of a potluck French baguette with his pinkie finger. Lovingly. Tenderly. So unfortunately. And then, just as quickly as he had reached for the dough in the first place, he pulled his hand away and left the jilted baguette on the table." L.L.
HE LOVES N.H.: Calling it his "top priority," Richardson told the Manchester Union Leader he'll devote more staff, resources and time in New Hampshire than in any other primary or caucus state. He's got one big fan in New Hampshire after this weekend. Gary Benson, who gave Richardson a trim at his Creative Colors and Cuts salon, thought the governor was a charming customer. "The guy's got a wicked sense of humor," he said. "I couldn't believe it: He's got charisma." L.L.
HE LOVES L.A.: Presidential candidates covet the endorsements of major newspapers, and New Mexico's guy isn't wasting any time. The Los Angeles Times reported Richardson met with that paper's editorial board shortly after he announced his candidacy last month. Times editorial page editor Andrés Martinez quoted Richardson as saying, "I am just getting into this, so I don't have my spiel down yet." The L.A. Times column adds: "Don't worry, governor, we're just getting into this too. We won't be endorsing anyone for at least another few weeks." J.J.

I wonder if the people of NM that just re-elected the rotund one, would like a bit more of his time and staff?
No, we'd like to get rid of him, his immense spending schemes (state budget is increasing about 10%), his corruption (political cronies appointed to high paying state jobs they aren't qualified for), his dictatorial, bullying management style (he's called King Bill and GovZilla for a reason), his grandstanding and meddling in international affairs. No, we'd just as soon see him leave.
So all that stuff Imus said about him is true?
