BREAKING: O'Reilly had Catherine Heridge (sp?) on describing the case.

***********

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - A youth sports coach in Arlington County who is also a past president of Virginia's American Civil Liberties Union chapter was arrested Friday and charged with receiving and possessing child pornography.

Charles Rust-Tierney, 51, of Arlington, made an initial appearance Friday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria and was detained pending a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

It was unclear Friday whether he had an attorney. A call to his home went unanswered.

A federal agent said in a sworn affidavit Friday that Rust-Tierney has subscribed to various child-pornography Web sites the past several years.

The affidavit states that Rust-Tierney also admitted to an agent Friday that he has downloaded videos and photos, which were found in a search of his home, from child porn sites.

**************

Missing headlines (a continuing series)

"..Clarice Feldman

Charles Rust-Tierney,the former President of the Virginia chapter of the ACLU ,is arrested for possession of very graphic and disturbing child pornography.

He is a very prominent figure in the Washington D.C. area. Where does the story appear? Page B05 of the Washington Post in the Virginia Briefing section as a two paragraph arrest notice. On the front page is a story about victims of priest molestation..."

I have always thought that those who scream the loudest about the "loss of personal" freedoms are hiding something -- usually drugs or illegal sex.

One if the girls is described in court documents as being "seen and heard crying", another is described as being "bound by rope."

Rope, millstone, sea.

Was he caught because of "Domestic wiretapping"?

I suppose, but they certainly seem to use them to conveniently crowd out stories they don't want to talk about.

One caller to a talk show suggested that it's a self-perpetuating cycle. They flog a story and that creates the interest. As he put it, if you put nothing but cheeseburgers in front of a person, that person is going to eat cheeseburgers.

The ACLU "woman" is identified as 77 years old (in several sources). The ACLU "man" is identified as 51.

This case is due to lurch into never-never land real quick, you betcha!

The populace aren't enraged; they're apathetic.

Although slow to build, once outraged to capacity, American civilians are a force not to be ignored.

They're rarely determined, unless searching for a remote control.

Not all Americans are slaves to the boob tube.

They're generally more interested in "legality" than "justice", and even more interested in "American Idol".

That applies more to the liberal segment of society, IMO.

As soft as our society has become, eventually I feel that events will push the average patriot to the breaking point, and that will be the start of a very short, albeit spectacularly bloody and violent, second American Civil War.

"And people wonder why the ACLU is NAMBLA's best friend..."

You beat me to that one.
Pretty much standard ACLU behavior.
To call the ACLU vermin evil will be an insult to evil people.

Name three.

Dream on. It's the usual COEXERJ145 hyperbole junk. It's like he doesn't even think before he posts it, just go blindly at anyone who questions why the borders are still wide open five years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks or says they don't like any one or more of president Bush's plans. This happens all the time, but the biggest example came after Harriet Miers withdrew her nomination for a seat on the U.S. supreme court.

And now all the Miers haters are gearing up to do the same to the next person the President nominates. -COEXERJ145 on 10/27/2005 5:56:27 AM PDT

Few if any. The ones who were borderline mental over Miers (5-15 threads per day bashing her) were the same ones who also hated Roberts. They don't care who is nominated. All they care about is trying to attack President Bush. I'm sure their god, Coulter, is already writing her article trashing the next nominee and just has to add the name later. -COEXERJ145 on 10/27/2005 6:03:47 AM PDT

Of course none of that ever happened. Everyone on FreeRepublic supported Samuel Alito strongly. Sorry COEXERJ145, but you can disagree with something Bush does (like nominating Harriet Miers) without hating everything Bush does. I'm sorry that is apparently lost on you.

Hey, try and keep this quiet. If the Demorats hear about this, they will elect Rust-Tierney into some high position one day.

Rust-Tierney

Man, he ruined two names.

Events shape history. We're all just waiting for the next 9-11. Maybe Anna Nicole is just something to do while we wait.
