As the recent past Chariman of the Armed Services Comm, he is a leader
He is also a Vietnam war vet
His son did 2 tours in Iraq

He's a fine Christian man, and a good leader. Decorated Vietnam veteran. Ranger, I believe. His son, Duncan Jr., has done two tours in Iraq.

Well, I voted Rudy even though I know that disappoints you. It's not because I don't like Hunter, it's because I don't know him at all. He's got some months to get himself some face time and get known. If he does, I'm ready to change my mind about his electability.

"...non-members are smarter than the members so far. Non-members 80% Hunter-members 74.4% Hunter."
A little strange for sure. What gets me is the 4% "Undecided". The difference between Hunter and Julie-Annie is like the difference between having a juicy thick T-Bone Steak vs. Jell-o for dinner!
Go Duncan Hunter 2008!

Okay, the military service stands in his favor. Still, it makes me nervous that he is such an unknown.

http://www.gohunter08.com/ Here you go. Funny thing. If I do a search under google I get an "error" when I try to open. The same site opens under Yahoo search. I know they were working on some glitches.

I'm not talking about links I can read on the internet... I already know he's a name and picture on a computer screen. I want to see him, on TV, talking to people, answering questions, telling me what he thinks.
To: EternalVigilance
I believe you if you say he is a good man. I'm looking at these pictures and trying to intuit if I'm looking at a President. So far, I'm not seeing it. I'm going to have to see him speak at a major gathering. I have predicted every president since Truman. I'm waiting on this one. It's too early and I haven't gotten a look at the players yet. Not much face time on TV like the dims get.

I don't know anything about Hunter. I understand he is conservative.
Does he have fire in his belly? Skeletons in his closet? Beat his wife? Booze? Can he make decisions? Weep at the sight of the poor? Hates DIMs? Love kissing babies?
Anyway you know what I mean! He simply hasn't high enough visibility to be exposed to the public in an adequate matter to see how he handles himself!
To: MadIvan
the more you demand people like me shut up, the more determined I become to fling defiance right back in your face.
Fling. Defiance. In our faces?
I know it's Friday night but more think, less drink, please.

Dog, I think we are in the same camp here. LOL

I want to see him, on TV, talking to people, answering questions, telling me what he thinks. The MSM is only going to willingly put people on who will ultimately give the White House to Hillary.

The selection of the British Prime Minister will not affect your life nearly as much as the selection of the American President will affect mine. So long as this is true, I am going to yell loudly about the prospect of Hillary or Obama in the White House, something I do not want to see.
We do regularly opine on Britain's leaders and France and Germany and Italy and New Europe's. And we certainly applauded PM Howard's little drive-by on Obama. Seems to me that turnabout is fair play, especially within the Anglosphere.
