A retired 70-year-old Marine killed a mugger with his bare hands after a tour bus of U.S. senior citizens was held up in the Costa Rican city of Limon.
The retiree squeezed the 20-year-old mugger in a headlock, broke his clavicle and choked him. The thief's two accomplices, who were armed, fled as other retirees on the bus started defending themselves. The group then drove the unconscious mugger to a local Red Cross clinic, where he was declared dead.
Local police named the former Marine as Allan Clady, but could not say where in the United States he resides.
The 12 tourists involved in the incident on Wednesday were on a stopover from the Carnival Cruise ship Liberty.
Local Police Chief Luis Hernandez said no one would be charged in the incident. "They were in their right to defend themselves," he said.

Mr. Clady sounds like a real-life 70 year old Jack Bauer. Let this be a lesson to young punks everywhere!

It could happen:
The liberals are introducing a Bill in the House to outlaw all Americans use of their hands in self defense. Pelosi stated "the 70 year old American Marine who wrongfully used his hands to defend himself and others in taking the life of a poor man in Costa Rica just trying to feed his family shows the world just how prideful, and disrespectful Americans are in other Countries. This must stop now!"
Just wait and see how fast this House Bill gets introduced by a liberal socialist.

Good that he wasn't in the USA or he'd be under arrest.

Audie Murphy once killed a hitchhiker he picked up when the guy turned on him... definitely the wrong guy to start crap with.

This is his world. The rest of us just live in it. You betcha. And because of men like him, we can.
I love this story. He was just doing what Marines do: Protect Americans.

Nothing against your posting this story (which I thank you for BTW) but what the hell is up with 'retired Marine' As I've always understood it, 'Once a Marine, Always a Marine'
