Funny how your two statements contradict each other. You can't do it scientifically (look into someone's head) but scientifically is the answer.
Actually, with brain scans and scientific testing, you can make a pretty accurate representation of what's going on in someone's head. The 'you' in the second part was referring to a private person who had done no such experiment.
