A large part of the reason why that is, is because those with the power to take such action, are are to spineless to do so.

Exactly the intent of my original post. Unless it has to do with double agent's or secrets (not during Clinton)...or anything else that was covert...nobody in Washington will do a damn thing. I remember hearing Democrats and Republicans alike joking about the word treason when Ann Coulter's book came out.
They said things like "treason? what are we in the 1800s?", "treason is just a right wing term for you don't like my free speech or actions", and my favorite was "treason? hahahaa.. I guess we should have people dueling at dawn doing 6 paces in front of the white house?"
The average person in this country couldn't define the word treason if they tried.

Well if 20 posts a day on FR leads to 200 letters per day to each representative, and 2000 letters, phone calls etc. to the Attorney General, perhaps something might get done.

Speaking of war criminals, a reasonable case could be made that people like Pearcy are advocating genocide when they support positions that they know beyond any doubt would lead to the massacre of the Israeli people and of one or more ethnic groups in Iraq.
Additionally, his wilfull distortions of the law could easily incite attacks on American soldiers and those who support them.
