In my studies of the Bible and in Ezekiel in particular I believe God is going to intervene on Israel's behalf once again in a miraculous way to deal with the thousands of year old blood feud between Israel and her Islamic neighbors and kin in such a way that they will no longer be a threat to her or the rest of the world.
This includes Russia [Magog] who He has already started dealing with.
It may include a nuclear exchange of some kind but Israel and the area will not suffer major damage because their small size would not permit survival and not only does His word say, but as history has repeatedly proved ,God will not allow that to happen.
I believe it will be done more on a supernatural series of events.
This I believe is prophesied in Ezekiel 38 an 39 and elsewhere and in my opinion is separate from the events of Revelation and does not lead directly to Armageddon as some believe.
I believe it but does lead to a Israel somewhat restored to prominence on the world stage, her temple worship restored and with the Muslim nations around her that are not destroyed, greatly subdued.
With these gone and the land and other spoils gained in victory Israel, I believe will be the dominant power in the region in control of all that oil the world needs so badly.
The world will at first will breath a sigh of relief at the demise of the Islamic terrorist problem and welcome a time of false peace.
But the world will never accept an Israel they have persecuted under the influence of Satan in a position of influence or power over the wealth, land and energy resources they will acquire by God's miraculous victory over their enemies and this will lead to the events of Revelation where this time it is the world powers under the Anti- Christ that comes against them.
This is a very general and not a detailed summary of the way I see it as of now, with over forty years of Bible study especially of Ezekiel.
Take all I have said with many grains of salt and a heavy dose of searching the scriptures to verify.
How about Cheney (P), Hunter(VP) and Bolton for Sec. of Defense.
Another thing is that China will also be destroyed (they will participate against Israel with their ally Russia, and are the source of the 200,000,000 million man army), but so will the US in the ensuing exchange. The only countries that will be standing afterwords with functional governments will be Israel and Western Europe (Politically, Britian, Australia, Taiwan, India and Japan will also be taken out as to have no emerging superpower, so would be Latin America and Canada). Therefore, the Antichrist will have no country able to oppose him, as all of the superpowers will have been destroyed.
Depthcon 1 means war. Nixon went to Depthcon 2.
