RUSH: This just arrived in my e-mail stack, in my anonymous -- I've got a filter -- you don't need to know who sent it to me, doesn't matter. But it goes back to my stirring monologue in the first hour about how :
the American people don't want defeat;
the American people don't want to lose;
the American people don't want to de-fund soldiers;
the American people do not want to deny soldiers reinforcements on the battlefield.
They don't want to demoralize them.
As you recall, when the House passed its nonbinding resolution against the surge, there were 17 Republicans that signed on with them. One of them was North Carolina Congressman Walter Jones. Walter Jones has been given a lot of support from conservatives in North Carolina, but he's been very, very wrong on the war.
We mentioned his name on this program, and I'm sure it was mentioned a number of other places, too, after he signed on and flipped and went over with the Democrats on this.
Well, today, Congressman Walter Jones sent a letter to Congressman John Murtha. He applauded his leadership in properly equipping and training our armed forces but also urged chairman Murtha not to cut off funding for US troops in Iraq. Now, this is a flip-flop without the flop. Something has happened. Congressman Walter Jones must have heard from the American people about this, certainly his constituents in North Carolina. I think this is a reflection of what is really happening in this country, not what the Drive-Bys are telling us is happening or what polls are telling us is happening.
If a majority of the American people, which would have to include some conservatives, really wanted the war to be de-funded and for the military to be demoralized and for the surge not to happen and for no equipment and for no reinforcements to be sent to the troops, then Walter Jones wouldn't have heard anything but praise from his constituents.

But he apparently got enough grief that he sent Murtha a letter urging Murtha not to cut off funding for US troops in Iraq. Here are a couple of excerpts from this letter that Walter Jones sent.
"However, I believe that we must take great care to ensure that any effort to provide for our armed forces not be used as a proxy for resolving larger issues concerning the war in Iraq. Any attempt to starve the war as a way of bringing it to a conclusion,” which is the slow bleed strategy of Murtha's, “rather than through a serious policy debate about the best way forward would be wrong.”
So Walter Jones wants back in on the Republican side on this. He doesn't want to be associated with Murtha. This is proof, I think, of my point in the first hour. The American people are not on board with the Democrats on this.
One more excerpt. “I have been and I will continue to be willing to hold accountable those institutions and individuals who have made serious misjudgments leading up to and during the war in Iraq, but I also have assured the citizens of eastern North Carolina and our brave men and women in uniform that I will never vote to cut off funding for our troops in the field.” So he's sort of flipped as far as he can here without being called a flip-flopper, but clearly he got a little grief. It wouldn't have happened if the Democrats and the Drive-Bys are right that most Americans want defeat. They don't. The Democrat Party owns defeat.

And Of Course Read the RAW STORY Article too to get the Full Picture of What Rush was outlining ; about how it is BASICALLY,In the End, the Democrats' STAND that will bring them down.
But HERE--I want to point out this little story's Main Focus ,Whether the MEDIA wants to admit it or not! and that is what Rush stated:
"IF" What the MEDIA said is TRUE -that ; the American PEOPLE, POLLS, Majority want : NO Surge, No More Funding, NO More Equipment, and NO MORE WAR!! Then, as Rush put it, then Walter Jones wouldn't have heard anything but praise from his constituents.
Or at the very least: Walters would have heard SILENCE! And we all know that politicians; like our Boss, our wives, our friends, ALL take us being SILENT as in Being with AGREEMENT with them; or at the Least : NOT really being AGAINST them !
On March 17th-WHAT will people like ourselves;
the RIGHT & Concerned!
the Supporters of Our Troops! their Mission!
Show or NOT Show on That Day?? What will Our PRESENCE or Lack OF it Tell about OUR wanting SUCCESS at Protecting Our National Interests, Security, and FUTURE!!!and SUPPORTING this WAR! What will it "SHOW" to:
---Our Politicians??
---Our Represenatives in ALL Areas & Houses?
---Our Neighbors, Friends, Co-Workers? and
---Our TROOPS!!
---The TERRORISTS!!
and What will Our Nation Be Thinking that will be Watching the REPORTING by the Media On This March!!! A NATION that maybe NOT be as Informed as WE are? and that solely Rely on the Liberal MEDIA'S Portrail of events?
BY Showing Up March 17th in GREAT NUMBERS!! EXCITED!!ACTIVE!! and UNIFIED!!Getting as Many people as we know and DO NOT KNOW Involved ! and getting the WORD OUT on This Rally We Will be showing alot! and ALL GOING DOWN THERE to Speak out AGAINST what these ANSWER , CODE PINK and Liberals & Democrats Stand For ; "WE WILL BE MAKING as IMPORTANT a Statement as to Give Notice to Other Politicians Like Walters AND to the World!
We will be showing them What Americans REALLY WANT!! or then again......by NOT Getting Involved...by letting "Someone else" do "it" --what's our message then?
...What THEN would we SHOWING by "NOT" showing up?
Everybody has a Place, and ever time & place- a person.

For I really DO Feel that this Rally in D.C. in 07' is the BUNKER HILL of the 2008 Presidential Election- and will help to either SET/ or NOT Set the tune for the coming months. Maybe I am Wrong Here- or not. But IT IS A SATURDAY FOLKS!--And there IS Walter Reeds down there too! AND a SUNDAY to site see also!
And Not to sound to Pressuring- but there are also MANY OTHERS who are working VERY, VERY HARD to "make this happen!"-who are asking for your help.
There are many Great stories of those supporting where they can to make this happen too! And of those struggling to go to D.C.! and give support where they can.
We have no "George Sorros, Unions, Schools/professors to Pay OUR WAY! It is only Us! and with the MEDIA 100% AGAINST us-it's an up hill battle! but 2008 is right around the corner!
I dedicate this little speech to all those who are giving their all for this- Where will YOU fit in on March 17th?

At that time we will be seeing our son off on his second deployment to Iraq or we would be there. It it turns out that he leaves earlier, then we will just head towards the Capitol.
Wow!! I will add him and you to my Prayers for all those who have the Courage, Bravery and fortitude to answer That CALL- for a SECOND TIME TOO!

Bump. We're going to win this damn war, decisively.
Know what else I will be writing about too- and another reason why i want to Talk to the LIBBIES I meet down there and else where ? Especially the young ones?
In the Movie X-Man 2- near the end- there's a scene where the " Mutant Haters" have developed a Vacine they can Shot at Mutants- and it takes away their POWERS.
Forgive me- but I am not up on names or such.
But the Mutant "Mystic"(?) BLOCKS a Shot of this in HER "Self-sacrificing" way to PROTECT her "Leader" Magnito , from "Getting shot".
What happens is that SHE gets Shot! gets all HER POWERS "taken away"- and what " Unity/ Faithfulness " does Magnito show HER??? As SHE is NOW a "Mere mortal"- Naked onthe ground?--HE LEAVES HER COLD! and walks OVER here body saying, " What a Shame!"
THAT is what these younger and older LIBBIES do NOT understand about how They will be treated by the Dems and Libs when they are in power and the Clintons/Kennedy's/Pelosi's don't NEED THEM anymore!!
The Younger High schoolers- and College kids AND older- will BE THE VERY SAME ONES : the "Rich"- with Great Jobs! and High PAYING Jobs- will find THEIR PAY CHECKS TAXED to the HILT by the very same "Leaders" that they were SUPPORTING!!
And then They will be brushed aside !! for all THEIR Faithfulness! and then be treated Like Us " RICH, Under-Taxed/Tax Cuts for the RICH- and be in OUR GROUP!
They don't understand about IMMIGRATION_ Bus Bombings/school yard suicide bombings, their civil rights trampled on- and our ECONOMY shot! If the very same ones they support NOW get into Power!
I have to get some sleep!
I get up at 5:45 -work from 7am to 10 pm to save money for that one weekend- for room and board and bus fare and posters/banners/ and to give a few bucks for some freepers who may need a few extra dollars that just might make the difference in being able to come!

the MEDIA has gotten into a frenzy too! and it is THEM we have to beat FIRST!
The Media can distort-lie-twist- but IF WE ACTUALLY , Physical SHOW UP at places--WORD WILL GET AROUND AND POLITICIANS WILL NOTICE!!
WE HAVE TO AT WITHOUT THEM!! AND THATMAKE ARE JOB--AND CALLING FOR HELP- THAT MUCH MORE DIRE!
My husband leaves for Iraq that week. I would love to be there, but my focus will be on getting my children through those first difficult days. I do want to say how undescribably (sp?) grateful we are as a family to know that so many are out there supporting his mission.
Everyone here on FR has been so supportive and kind, and the good wishes you all send have done a great deal to keep me from going a little crazy. Thank you to all those who will be attending on March 17. You are all a blessing to anyone and everyone who has and/or is serving this country.

I heard that Jones' district included Camp Lejeune. I guess his stance was not very popular there. /understatement.
However, he has spoken out against the efforts in Iraq for years. I was surprised to see him reelected. I guess there just are not enough Dems in his district to defeat him no matter what he supports or opposes.

I am answering the call as it is my duty as a concerned citizen of this nation. I want to be there to show respect for those who have served and those who have given their all so that I can be free. I want our troops in action now to see that we have not turned our back on them this time. I will not sit back while the other side goes unchallenged and protray as if they speak for all of America. They most certainly do not. It is time to step up. If you are just thinking about it, won't you make that commitment now. It may make all the difference? See you there!!
