Veterans plan to protect the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington during an anti-war protest next month.
They fear demonstrators may deface the memorial, even though organizers say they have absolutely no intention of doing that.
Two veterans groups say they're concerned because some anti-war protesters spray-painted graffiti on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in January.
The black granite walls of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial bear the names of all those who were killed during the Vietnam conflict. The head of the veterans group known as rolling thunder says his members plan to protect the memorial and, quote, "support our troops."
The March 17th protest is to mark the fourth anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
Thanks to all of you. Keep us posted on FR as the day goes by if you can. I'll have computer on all day and stuck on FR. Take care of my boys for me, and Thanks again!
Look here for the originator of this march.

I'm going out the door in 25 minutes to have a Support Our Troops Rally in Greeley, Colorado. We will be counter protesting the anti-war protest. The wind is howling at 40mph and it's 30 degrees., and I'm dressing like a polar bear. I'll hold a flag high and think of what you wrote.
All the Best.
Good for those vets! God knows their service has been defamed enough by these war protesters. Maybe they should recruit Allan Clady to stand with them and break the pencil necks of anyone approaching with a can of spray paint.

You better believe i'm going to be there, motorcycle and all. I'm not going to allow our Memorials to be desecrated by the likes of ANSWER and Corrode Pink.
