Pretty strong words from an avowed apostate. I also seriously doubt that he has never stepped into a mosque. Methinks he doth protest too much- A dead giveaway for a muslim to begin with.
They are "required" to lie to advance their position.

I would not be so sure.
If he has never been to a Mosque it means that his parents were none practicing as well.
This would mean that his association with Islam is mostly intellectual and cultural (and possibly only peripherally cultural).
His parents could possibly have shielded him from the darker side of Islam. His parents may have been Lebanese who left before the radicals took over that country. He may know a Islam that is entirely different than the Islam we face in war.
Too many of these guys are like modern Liberals ~ they want to be victims.
