I saw Obams'a church's webpage. It is enlightening. Totally racist.

This is from their "Who we are".

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

Commitment to God
Commitment to the Black Community
Commitment to the Black Family
Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

I guess if I'm not black I'm chopped liver. Why would I vote for this man for president?

Why would any white person vote for him?

I agree with a lot of the principles of the church with the exception of the"Black Values"rhetoric which does seem exclusionary.Uplift prgrams aimed at the black community aren't necessarily racist, however. That said community NEEDS uplift badly!
The real kicker is the one which aims to"disavow middle classness".I am willing to bet almost everyone IN that church is either middle class or upper middle class.
Are they going to disavow THEMSELVES?

Those are the basic values of every ethnic group who came to the US and succeeded. I have no problem with them taking care of their own -- as long as they don't demand that we care of them.

On the other hand, from a theological perspective, the Bible says very clearly that "God is no respector of nations" and that "in Christ, there is neither Greek nor Jew...", so "color" should be irrelevant in the idea of a Christian community.

But this is a political issue we are addresssing, not a religious one.

I believe that Oprah belongs to the same church!!!! My usual objection to Oprah is that she is an overrated big nothing, and no one should listen to her on what books to read, films to see, or any other matter. But maybe there is something more sinister about her.

As for Barak "Osama" Obama, even if he belonged to a 95% white, innocuous-seeming UCC "church" (social club, really), there would still be the suspicion that he is a crypto-muslim. If he were an Orthodox Christian, Roman Catholic, Southern Baptist, etc. that woud be different. But he needs to address the crypto-muslim issue in order to dispel that fear, at least.

His main problem, however, is that he is "the man that nobody knows", and may be as much of a big nothing as Oprah. If we are so stupid as to elect a big nothing as President, he (or she) will certainly be manipulated by New World Order operatives, and will not serve the interest of most Americans in any way!!!!
