Rudy Giuliani: 'A Woman Has the Right to Choose' Abortion
NewsMax ^ | Feb 22, 2007 | NewsMax.com Staff

Posted on 02/22/2007 8:58:34 AM PST by Reagan Man

Giuliani has a tough road ahead in South Carolina, which is to host the first Southern primaries in 2008. His moderate positions on gun control and support for abortion rights do not sit well with the state's Christian conservatives, who accounted for a third of the 2000 GOP primary vote. Those voters swung heavily to President Bush that year, giving him a 2-1 ratio margin over Arizona Sen. John McCain, who was viewed as soft on abortion.

On Wednesday, Giuliani reiterated his own position.

"I'd advise my daughter or anyone else not to have an abortion," Giuliani said. "I'd like to see it ended, but ultimately I believe that a woman has the right to choose.

"I believe that you've got to run based on who you are, what you really are and then people actually get a right to disagree with you," he said. "And I find if you do it that way, even people who disagree with you sometimes respect you."

Hi EEE, anyone who has Chesty in their tag line has a core.
I too am more concerned about national and world affairs but on the domestic side, the abortion issue is a core one.
Thank you for making your decision

Well, if he doesn't modify this, I can't vote for him. Simple as that.

I've been saying I'll consider it if he changes on some points, but a clear statement like this right now is far worse than anything he's said in the past.

No, a woman does NOT have a right to kill her baby. Sorry, but that just isn't the case. It's not a God-given right, and it's not a constitutional right, and it's not a natural right.

If the voters want to make it a right in the states, it will still be wrong, but that's where it should be fought out. Seven unelected judges had no RIGHT to pronounce in Roe v. Wade that killing is OK if it's convenient.

------" I find it incredible that anyone could believe that a child born at 12:00PM on a given day is merely an inanimate object at 11:59AM on that same day, and I'm joined in that view by anyone with an ounce of logic."

It is simply AMAZING when one considers the approximate number of people who fail to 'summon the ounce' of logic and realize that abortion(chemical AND physical) is murder. It is truly a spiritual blindness as a result of Satan's work, and our Lord has given them over.

A curse is on those who shed innocent blood, and those who look the other way are partakers in that curse. The 'pro choice' phenomenon we see is a practical outworking of this curse.

May our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on His children, and may he shelter His faithful in the coming wrath.

When the right quesetions are asked, it turns out that the majority of Americans would ban most abortions: most Americans oppose convenience abortions - which are over 93% of abortions. You just happent to not respect the sanctity of life. If Rudy wants my spport, he is going to have to undergo a conversion.

If there is a Democratic senate, you know that Rudy will appoint pro abortion judges.

Most Americans oppose abortion in the first trimester (which is 90% of all abortions) and believe the government should intervene?

I'd like to see a source on that.

Yes, the lefwing Center for Gender Equality is one of the many sources for that one. Obviously, you are a pro abort. Why don't you just come out and say it. Guys like you crack me up: you can never come out and say that you support thee taking of innocent life.

What was the "right" question and what were the responses?

I'm curious because there is a wide selection of questions and responses here:

http://www.pollingreport.com/abortion.htm

None of them support your claim.

My opinion doesn't matter. Neither, in fact, does yours. We are each of us entitled to our own opinions, but not to our own facts. It doesn't do the pro-life side any favors to labor under false assumptions.

Sweetheart, you are obviously a pro abort. The majority of polls show that the vast majority of Americans - ESPECIALLY WOMEN - would ban convenience abortions - which is 93% of abortions. You choose not to believe it because you cling to your pro abortion views. You can cloak your odious views in words such as "governmental interference" blahblahblah - but they remain odious just the same.

How many women would identify their own abortions as "convenience" abortions? ;)

continue to labor in delusion if you must. do not be surprised when the delusions cause your labors to bear nothing but vapor where fruit should be.

The vast majority! The vast majority are because a guy walked out on a woman, or threatened to to pay child support. Rarely is an abortion performed because of the "life" of the mother or because the baby had a serious "defect". Now go read your Planned Parenthood notes on how to respond.

Unfortunately there are so many - even on this website- that are morally blind and try to justify terrible views.

No, I think most women would not call their OWN abortions convenience abortions, although I agree they would be quick to label any others that way.

Any particular reason for the nasty tone? Or is it simply the way you communicate?

The "nasty tone" is because I sense an abortion supporter trying to justify the gazillions of abortions since Roe v. Wade.
