If Rudy does win the GOP primary (and that's still a big "if"), anyone who retains the faintest recollection of what "conservatism" really means is going to be faced with a disheartening Hobbes' choice between him and the dem candidate.

Would you say that 'pro-choice' alone makes one a 'liberal' or 'RINO'?

To some here, abortion is the very definition of 'conservative'. Do you agree?

To be personally pro-choice is generally thought to be a liberal. However, as a "conservative" by and large, I say let the states decide. The fact that Roe vs. Wade usurped the Tenth Amendment is my primary beef against it. Pragmatically, I view abortion as a type of suicide in the long-term, and since studies over the last few years reveal that around 4 out of 5 people to indulge in this particular "right" are leftist politically, I let it go at that. Never interrupt one's enemy when they're making a mistake. And yes, that means that millions of innocent lives are sacrificed. Seeing as we're dealing with humankind, that's nothing new. Cold? Yes, unfortunately. Freedom is not always pretty.

So I guess that to the people who use abortion as the sole litmus test of whether one is "conservative" or not, I guess I fail. But this definition is faulty, methinks. Adherence to the U.S. Constitution is what defines what is truly "conservative". And letting the states decide such moral issues, should they even choose to, is how this matter would be decided, if the USC was little more than toilet paper at this point in American history.
