Let's see if we can come up with some important priorities for the security of the United States and the growth of its economy. Well, number one is surely the protection the nation against any further attacks by Islamist fundamentalists. Clearly this has been successful to date. It will remain, however, a constant concern for decades to come.
Another priority would be to insure that the nation continues to have the energy it requires to maintain and grow our thriving economy. We use a lot of electricity and our cars and trucks use a lot of fuel, as do our fleets of aircraft. The result is the movement of goods in, around, and out of the nation in an era of global trade.
The agricultural sector needs electricity and fuel as well. It needs access to irrigation, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides to protect crops. So what does Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, think is the nation's highest priority?
In an announcement on Thursday, February 8, she made it clear that Global Warming is her highest priority. Citing the utterly bogus scare mongering of the Fourth Assessment Report of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Speaker Pelosi has seen the future and it is one that "will reshape our planet and society. We also see a future in which harsh consequences could be blunted by our prompt action."
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. The greatest fools of all are those running around these days shouting, "Global Warming! Global Warming! Global Warming!" Most of these people are relatively harmless because they do not have their hand on the lever of governmental power, but Speaker Pelosi is literally in the line of succession to the Oval Office.

Look at her voters. Left-wing, anything goes [morally], enviro-whackos, mostly wealthy. IOW, people who don't live in the "real world."
I read somewhere that the UN panel has thus far refused to release any of the scientific data this "report" is based on. Accordingly, it is impossible for anyone to peer review the study. I can think of only ONE reason they would do this.

Nazi Pelosi forgets what her job is, what country she works for, and who pays her salary. Like much of Washington these days. She obviously is more interested, as the flaming socialist that she is, in POWER AND CONTROL so she is pandering to radical left wingers FOR VOTES IN 2008.
It is sick to realize that someone so blatantly STUPID, and so political, could have been put in such an office in this country. The liberal socialists do not care about the REAL ISSUES in this country -- they never have. And never will.

Apparently, she called the President to complain that the veep made comments that intruded on her dignified one-sided debate. Then, yesterday, John McCain echoed Barbara Boxer, saying that the debate on global warming is over. They must value censorship above all else. Go back to the bottom of your class, John.

I think if you tie her up or restrain her in any way she might just like it a lot.
She has already shown what her priorities are:
1. Inaugurate herself in a gaudy show of narcissism.
2. Redefine 100 hours to suit her failed schedule and save face.
3. Go to the Middle East Iraq for photo opportunities and to screw up actual diplomacy.
4. Make a show of purely symbolic acts like the nonbinding resolution debate.
5. Secure a cushy plane for herself.
6. Insult the president and then complain about the vice president's comments like a bratty little sister.
What else have I missed in her first month? It's all about HER!

This is the best chance the Left has ever had to fool the citizenry into accepting what they would always reject if it were presented "on the merits": Totalitarian Socialist Government.

Exactly right! That is why I still feel that 2/3 of Americans are brain dead. By that I mean they are so self absorbed in their own little world that they are completely oblivious to the real dangerous world outside of their immediate environment. That is the real reason we have the RATS in power now. The only touch with the outside is the Hollywierd, and MSM, and these outside nitwits are trying to convert America to a socialist Country where greed and power is their only reason for existence.
