The gas cloud in Baghdad, meanwhile, suggests possible new and coordinated strategies by bombers trying to unleash toxic - and potentially deadly - materials. "Terrorists are using dirty means," said Brig. Gen. Qassim Moussawi, an Iraqi military spokesman.

There was also a similar chemical attack two days ago:

On Tuesday, a bomb planted on a chlorine tanker left more than 150 villagers stricken north of the capital. More than 60 were still under medical care on Wednesday. Chlorine causes respiratory trouble and skin irritation in low levels and possible death with heavy exposure.

Meanwhile, the MSM yawns.

The use of WMDs in Iraq - by the Iranian backed terrorists - should be breaking news on all major networks.

It's not.

That speaks volumes about how complicit much of the MSM is with the libs/dems and their utter disdain for the current administration, no matter the costs.

I do not understand why there aren't people of influence and money that could start a REAL news network! I am starving for real news that matters to me.

Thank God for Free Republic - this is where I get most of my news.

This simply shows how desperate the bad guys really are. Meanwhile, the MSM still roots for an Insurgent Tet Offensive.

Al Queda is studying the results of these attacks using readily available Chlorine used for water treatment, sewage treatement, etc.

CNN American Morning today with the idiot Miles Obrian bloviating about "why can't the Iraqi Government just control this dangerous chemical". My God he is ignorant.

It's only a matter of time before they use these types of attacks here in the US. Since the dimocraps non-binding resolution to betray our soldiers in Iraq - they really have gotten bolder.

for an Insurgent Tet Offensive

Which is itself a misnomer as the US actually won the Tet Offensive.

Yes. We did win the Tet Offensive; but Walter Cronkite convinced America, including me at the time, that we lost it.

>>>thank goodness there were no wmds over there.....

I think it is a mistake to refer to these as WMDs:
1. How are these so called WMDs a threat to our national security? Were we concerned that terrorists were going to drive chlorine tankers from Iraq to the US?
2. If they are in some way a threat, how has the war in Iraq helped to enhance our security from the threat of these WMDs?
3. If we went into Iraq to prevent terrorists from getting their hands on WMDs, then how successful has this venture been when terrorists are currently using those weapons?

--given a choice, I'd rather be "near" a chlorine-enhanced bomb attack than one using a gasoline or diesel fuel tanker--the gas weapons are greatly overrated in most laymen's minds---wind rapidly dispersed gases of this type--
