The Republican Giuliani holds a comfortable lead in the “red states,” topping Clinton by 17 percentage points, and he is even with Clinton in “blue states.”

Giuliani has strong support among Republican voters, with 40 percent saying they are likely to vote for him.

Arizona Senator John McCain trails with 18 percent, followed by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who has said he may not run if Giuliani holds a commanding lead.

with an honorable discharge of course.

Then I think you are more qualified to be President then Rudy is. Why did we pillory Clinton for dodging the draft but Rudy gets a pass?

If you don't know what a 'conservative coalition' is then you are at the wrong website.

You need to add "RINO SUPPORTER" into your tagline.

The Chairman of the South Carolina GOP disagrees with your assessment of Rudy and how the voters will respond as well.

I live in Idaho , the most Republican state, the most socially conservative state, and we have a RINO GOP chairman too.

That does not reflect the voters.

I can think of a few good candidates: J.D. Hayworth (just barely lost in AZ), Michael Steele, Condoleeza Rice, Rick Santorum...All of these people should be involved in 2008 somewhere helping the Republican party.

The main reason Simon comes up is because Simon is a good friend of Rudy's.

Anyhow, he won't be veep, Rudy knows what you know, but I could see Simon having a position in his administration.

Hopefully they will be involved. I like them all, and believe they just pretty much got caught in the cross fire.

Voters were just sick of incumbants in general because many of the republicans were not being true to republican principles. Not what so many of the liberal freepers are suggesting that Americans are sick of values.

We got more democrats in Idaho this year too because voters are quite disallusioned by the going along to get along in government.

Our guy won because he had a strong 16 year record of standing strong for Republican principles.

Lower taxes, less government, free enterprise, private property, secured borders, pro-life, pro-family values etc..

I'm loving how Hollywood is turning against Hillary, though Spielberg is going to hold a fund-raiser for her next week. He and Geffin are business partners, but definitely not of the same mind om the dem candidates.

Yes, I read it, and it's still a non-answer. It's still stupidly vague, paranoid, conspiracy theory nonsense.

"Carter did win, but that was more of a fluke than brilliance."

Yes, Carter won due to Watergate hangover, Republicans had to be punished. The Dems could have won with a peanut farmer that year...oh wait...never mind!

No offense to peanut farmers.

Hitlery in power will be like living under Stalin.

Giuliani in power would be like living under a Stalin-Steinem-Hitler hybrid.

I'm sure that will be the case. Giuliani knows his faults and how to balance them.

Cheney has shown us the benefit of selecting a VP who was not actively pursuing the Presidential office. I expect a southern governor or Gingrich to be on the VP slot.
