They have no right to hire people who break our immigration laws ...

So if the government granted these folks amnesty it would be okay to hire them?

... they are not entitled to the government loosing them so they can depress wages.

The "wage" is only what the employer is willing to pay for it. There is no such thing as a "guarranteed wage" unless you are a union member or a socialist.

One gets the impression that many here do not like the idea of competition and like the idea of government interference to keep that competition to a minimum.

It will be legal to hire them if all the laws are observed.

And it will be a disaster for the US if the invasion is allowed to continue to flood us with the next wave of Third World illegals.

" So if the government granted these folks amnesty it would be okay to hire them?"

Legally yes, Ethically no. When the unemployment rate for EE's keeps going up year after year the fact the government wants to import cheap labor to fill a make believe shortage is sick. One more example of lobbyist screwing up the social contract.

"The "wage" is only what the employer is willing to pay for it."

No, the wage is what the employer is willing to pay and the market of employees agrees on. I am not for fixed guaranteed wages, I'm not for a 'living wage', and I'm not for Unions pushing companies into bankruptcy. But employment is a contract! Bringing in people who put less into the system than they get out of it just so employers can have cheaper labor is plain wrong.

" One gets the impression that many here do not like the idea of competition"

Competition is great, pulling in workers for poverty levels is not.
