Some wag wanted to make sure that as we, the media, build Sen. John McCain up, we also tear him down.
In that vein, here's a clip of McCain actually saying what that oppo floating around has him saying.
Again, it's one thing to read it, it's another thing to see it and hear it.
BTW: Is this the first YouTube war between different candidates' supporters?
MCCAIN:
But we all know, and it's obvious, that if we repeal Roe v. Wade tomorrow, thousands of young American women would be performing illegal and dangerous operations. I want us to be a party of inclusion. I think that we can all be members of the Republican party whether we are pro-choice or pro-life because we share the same goal and that is the elimination of abortion. Because it is an unpleasant and terrible procedure. We think -- I think that we must go back to the party platform of 1980 and '84. We include people who have specific disagreements who share our same goals.

Just as I thought McStain is full of Sh!t.
Repeal Roe V Wade and the states would have to pass new law to make abortion illegal.
Thus would the debate begin and public policy regarding morality would be made where it should, at the state level.
McCain is a loser.
YouTube is hitting both McCain and Romney today.
Politicians can no longer say I was misquoted and that will get them by on some stupid thing they said to try and enlist the support of a particular group.
Someone will be there with a digital video recorder and before they can get back to campaign head quarters that stupid remark will be on the internet and they will have alienated their base to get a few campaign dollars.
Consistency and honesty may finally be worth something in politics.
YouTube is the worst thing to happen to politicians since "roll that video tape"
Unfortunately YouTube is now in the hands of Google which is no friend to conservatives.
Really? Well then we should start finding some video on the Dems to use.
bttt
It is becoming clear now that we need to pick a candidate who is dumb.
Not stupid, simply incapable of speech . That way we know nobody will find a video of him or her saying something stupid.
If they were also invisible, that would be a plus.
LOL! Yes that would be good. or a Stepford Politician and we own the control center.
shame on you and you talk about others fibbing. You skipped over the full and unedited version and posted the link to the video that suits what you want to believe ! Here is the full quote made by Senator McCain in 1999. The original video was edited and did not include his position where he said several times that he “favored the ultimate repeal of Roe v. Wade. This is consistent with his statements recently made in Feb. 2007 (less)

I’m not a real Huck fan but he’s the only pro life candidate left in the field.
I went to a Romney rally the other night and it is very true. Nothing unwatched can happen in public any more because half the people at any event are videoing it from their phones.
I couldn’t imagine ever watching most events again, so I don’t bother, but people do.
May be true but he can’t win and he is out kissing McCains bootie because those babies aren’t as important as a new taxpayer funded job.
mccains record over the past 20 some years is consistently pro life !
Or going to court to oppose Wisconsin Right to Life from airing ads 60 days before an election.
The only thing consistent about McCain is that he doesn't do anything that isn't exclusively intended to advance the ambition of John McCain. He has stabbed the party in the back on so many issues he can't be trusted on anything. As the youtube video demonstrates.
Told you. If pro-life meant so much to Huck, he wouldn’t be hitching his wagon to the McCain star.
