Except for using tax payers dollars to do the embryonic stem cell research thing.

Or going to court to oppose Wisconsin Right to Life from airing ads 60 days before an election.

"mccains record over the past 20 some years is consistently pro life !"

The only thing consistent about McCain is that he doesn't do anything that isn't exclusively intended to advance the ambition of John McCain. He has stabbed the party in the back on so many issues he can't be trusted on anything. As the youtube video demonstrates.

Except for his position on embryonic stem cell research.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, on Thursday while campaigning in Florida said he continues to support human embryonic stem cell research, the Washington Post reports. When asked whether recent advances in nonembryonic stem cell research would change his stance, McCain replied, "I have not changed my position yet" (Milbank, Washington Post, 1/25).
