I won't vote for Rudy. Period.

I could be convinced to hold my nose for any of the rest (ok, perhaps not Romney--the GOP's version of John Kerry), so can we please ditch this Rudy cr@p? He's a non-starter for the base, a partysplitter, and an electoral bloodbath for the GOP.

My preference, of course, is for Duncan Hunter...

He's a non-starter for half the base. The other half, which tolerates the social-nanny-state conservatives, don't seem to have much trouble with him. If you want them to consider your "acceptable social conservative", you don't want to make them so mad they retaliate against your candidates.

Dear Antoninus,

"I could be convinced to hold my nose for any of the rest (ok, perhaps not Romney--the GOP's version of John Kerry),..."

I keep thinking that perhaps Mr. Romney will say or do something that will easy my fear that he's little more than a complete phoney. Unfortunately, every time he speaks, he seems to confirm that he hasn't yet learned the first rule of holes.

Go, Duncan!

"Defeat him in the primary, or support him in the general" should be our philosophy. Being a member of a "party" means not always getting what we individually want. I'm for whoever is most like Ronaldus Magnus, but I'll vote for just about anyone over SHrillary.....
