Cabbie Charged with Assault 02-19-2007 -- Nashville, TN FOX 17 NEWS
HERE'S SOME ADVICE FOR YOUR NEXT CAB RIDE...DON'T TALK ABOUT RELIGION.
METRO POLICE SAY AN ARGUMENT OVER THE SUBJECT LEAD ONE CAB DRIVER TO RUN OVER A CUSTOMER NEAR VANDERBILT.
UNITED CAB COMPANY DRIVER IBRAHIM AHMED IS IN CUSTODY TONIGHT.. CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AND ATTEMPTED MURDER.
AHMED IS MUSLIM AND AUTHORITIES SAY AN ARGUMENT OVER RELIGION WITH TWO CUSTOMERS GOT SO OUT OF HAND YESTERDAY....HE RAN ONE OF THEM OVER....AND TRIED TO HIT THE OTHER.
FRIENDS SAY THE WHOLE ORDEAL IS SURPRISING CONSIDERING HOW WELL AHMED IS RESPECTED IN THE LOCAL SOMALIAN COMMUNITY.
ONE OF THE PASSENGERS...JEREMY INVUS... IS IN STABLE CONDITION AT VANDERBILT.
THE OTHER PASSENGER....ANDREW NELSON.. WAS ABLE TO AVOID THE CAB AND WASN'T INJURED.
Granted I don't know all the details, but since when did chastising someone get worse than an attempted murder attempt??
I only hope others from Middle TN saw this.
Another case of SJS. I hope the cabbie is also charged with a hate crime.

Well, people should realize by now that failure to conform with Islam may get your head cut off. Nonetheless, that doesn't justify the action of the person who does the cutting.

One of the strange aspects of our times is that we justify the actions of the perpetrator, without considering the safety of the victims. Criticizing Islam is not wrong or a crime.
What's up with Nashville? They have a Somali community, a Kurdish community, and thousands of Iraqis on the way. They also have a load of illegal Mexicans. And if that isn't enough, there's a Kurdish gang going around robbing and raping the Mexicans.
There's also a large Laotian community as well. I was totally surprised at how Fox 17 represented the cabbie as the victim though.
It seems to be a little tongue in cheek humor. I don’t see this article as making excuses for Muslims attempting murder over religion.
Also: Don't take a bottle of wine (beer, etc.) home with you
Don't take your dog with you
Don't enter the cab that exposes the bottom of your shoes to the Cabbie
Don't take pork products with you
Don't eat pork before entering the cab
Don't carry your Bible
Don't have any religious trinkets with you, other that Islam
Don't carry magazines or books with pictures -- unless you've verified that none contain scantily clad women

I don’t see any representation of the cabbie as a victim in this article.
I was referring to the broadcast. They TOTALLY made the cabbie out as the victim. Sorry for not clearing that up earlier.
