"So brave" are those who serve their country
Blue Star Mother Angela Lashley recently decided not to appear on Sean Hannity's radio show and confront his guest Cindy Sheehan. Looking back, Angela probably should have taken the opportunity to confront the boisterous anti-war, anti-American Cindy Sheehan.
Her appearance on Hannity's show also would have given this very proud and patriotic military mother the chance to showcase her song, "So Brave," which expresses her love and admiration for the troops who are serving their country

Not taking the chance to debate the lunatic "peace mom" Cindy Sheehan is yet another example of the lack of leadership on our side. It's understandable, but so are lots of other things. It's how we lose, and why we're losing.
Welcome to FR.
I am a Blue Star Mother. I will be glad to debate or confront the witch in the ditch. I cannot afford to get to Hannity's show, but I don't mind being a spokesperson.
"Not taking the chance to debate the lunatic "peace mom" Cindy Sheehan is yet another example of the lack of leadership on our side. It's understandable"
Yes, it's understandable. I wouldn't want to be in the same room with that vile, shrieking harridan. In addition, unless you had a moderator who would make her stop talking long enough for the other party to respond, trying to debate her would be an exercise in futility.
Welome to FR!
It would be unpleasant, but many things are unpleasant.
No excuse. If you're trying to have an impact on the public, as this lady certainly is, you have an obligation not to be deterred by mere unpleasantness.
Anyone who tries can get a word in edgewise, and perhaps many words. In addition, assuming Sheehan was at her very worst, as you suggest, this arrogant behavior toward the opposite viewpoint would help to educate the public about what a horrible woman she is.
"this arrogant behavior toward the opposite viewpoint would help to educate the public about what a horrible woman she is."
It's been going on for forty years that I know of, and our liberal infestation just keeps getting worse.
Before the public can be educated, we need to reclaim academia and the media.
Absolutely. And here, as elsewhere, not enough of us are trying, and most who are trying aren't trying hard enough.
It wouldn't have been a "debate" as we know it. It would have been the ditch witch histerically ranting a continuous string of non-decipherable non-defensible non-proveable lunatic clap-trap. It's best not to lend these people any legitimacy by attempting to engage them.
" It's best not to lend these people any legitimacy by attempting to engage them."
After five and a half decades, I have come to agree with that.
As Claire Wolfe wrote, "America is at that awkward stage. Its too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the b*stards. On the road to tyranny, weve gone so far that polite political action is about as useless as a miniskirt in a convent." (101 Things To Do Til The Revolution)
Is it still too early?
