Note publicly-funded parasite David Suzuki - and particularly his last week's social fascist outburst - continues to receive a largely free pass from Canada's lapdog mainstream media - in spite of the apparent easy availability of confirming documentation to anyone with the minimal ambition and/or lack of bias to seek it out.

Jeez, you would think the last thing that someone from Canada would be worried about would be warming. For crying out loud it is cold up there. We here in the lower 48 always hear about those "alberta clippers" and "canadian cold fronts". He should be more concerned with global cooling. What a dork.

I liked David Suzuki when he was a science popularizer in the 70s and 80s doing his "The Nature of Things" science program. He is an intelligent and well-educated man who should have stuck with what he did well, rather than getting into politics. And Global Warming is so incredibly politicized that real facts and rational thought are almost completely missing from the discussion (especially on the side of its supporters, but also some of its detractors).

David Suzuki plays it up like Michael Moore -- the "I'm not part of the establishment, in fact, I'm ethic and disadvantaged. Trust me -- I'm for the little guy." -- and now Mr. Corporate Foundation himself is lying through his teeth. But his career was made on the back of the public trust, with the Liberal bent CBC selling him as Canada's Environmental conScience. Didn't happen over night but we have yet another left-leaning groovy guru adding a shrill voice to the global warming noise.

My suspicion already aroused by his false allegation of 'outlaw' behaviour, I decided to check this out for myself - and discovered that, in fact, only 51 individuals signed the IPCC Report released on February 2. (Click here to download a copy of this report.) More and more people are becoming aware of a curious fact, which I first discovered in the mid 90s, after I ran into a dissent of the 1995 version of the IPCC Climate Report by one of its most high-profile contributors, Richard Lindzen
Richard Lindzen
Although thousands of scientists may contribute to any given IPCC report, the executive summary which is all most people (specially reporters) see is not only written by relatively few mostly less credentialled scientists, who can and do twist the results to their agenda, deleting all qualifiers and emphasizing horror possibilities based on a long series of unproven assumptions, and based on computer models known by all the participants to be fatally flawed.
So Suzuki may be right, but dishonest. Thousands did work on the report. About half a hundred, however (political activist types) worked on the Summary.

Suzuki replies that his foundation takes no money from governments...As a charitable foundation, he has tax-free status. Supposedly only if he remains non-partisan (cough, cough). After his recent rant in front of young children urging their parents and teachers to not vote for the evil conservative government, he should lose that status. Canadians can call the CRA at 1-800-267-2384 to lodge a formal complaint. Get the name of the person you speak to and tell them you expect follow-up info on the complaint.
