I think Duncan Hunter is impressive in this interview (only about 15 minutes through it so far). It's the first time I've heard him in more than just a short guest appearance on cable news and/or radio.

Theoretically speaking, if Giuliani is the nominee for the GOP for '08 he will have to choose someone like Duncan Hunter as VP. So far I like what I'm hearing in this interview. Duncan doesn't beat around the bush when answering questions and he is an obvious expert on military affairs.

Save it. There will never be a bald President again.
Support a Conservative. If Hillary wins, the Repubs can act like Repubs again.

The Duncan Hunter train keeps steaming forward. Go Hunter!!!
Duncan Hunter is a force phenom. Little by little, piece by piece, he is scaring the hell out of the Rudy, McCain, Romney folks.
What few people realize is that this is exactly the way GWB beat Ann Richards down here in Texas in his first Governor's race.
I can understand the idea of people saying they don't think he can win the primary. I can't understand those who say they don't think he can win in November. They prattle on about name recognition of Rudy and others. Well after the primary everyone will be talking about Duncan Hunter who slew the giants like Giuliani, McCain et. al.. No one will be able to say ANY of those names without also saying Duncan Hunter.
Freepers: Please make your vote for Duncan Hunter heard in this FR Poll. http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=170

Hillary is not exactly a southern darling either. Giuliani would beat her in the South AND probably in a couple of Northern States.
She doesn't have to be. It wasn't that long ago that the Solid Souh was solid Democrat. They've been switching to the GOP over the past 30 years mainly because the Democrats have taken the wrong side on moral issues. We are talking about he Bible Belt, after all. With Rudy as the candidate, those who became Republicans thanks to moral issues will suddenly be faced with the choice of a socialist Democrat or an amoral gun-grabbing Yankee Republican liberal.
With such a choice, I reckon a sizable portion will just stay home or vote Third Party. And that is a death sentence for a Republican presidential candidate--not to mention the down-ticket races.
A Rudy nomination could very well equal the death of the GOP. And it's my suspicion that that's why the media wants him so badly.

Here's a tactical idea to ponder. If pulling out of Iraq would stop the violence (according to the Democrats), why don't they pull all the police out of Central Los Angeles? What the hell, maybe they think that will get rid of the gangs.
