They just posted on Yahoo news that McCain is calling Rumsfeld the worst Defense Sec. ever.

McCain won't survive the primaries without a major blow up I'm guess... He's all over the place at times.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070219/ap_on_el_pr/mccain2008

BLUFFTON, S.C. - Republican presidential candidate John McCain (news, bio, voting record) said Monday the war in Iraq has been mismanaged for years and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will be remembered as one of the worst in history.

"We are paying a very heavy price for the mismanagement — that's the kindest word I can give you — of Donald Rumsfeld, of this war," the Arizona senator told an overflow crowd of more than 800 at a retirement community near Hilton Head Island, S.C. "The price is very, very heavy and I regret it enormously."

I really pay no attention to who is endorsing who, except as sort of a celebrity news thing. I will not make up my mind on whom I am voting for until after the debates, and since my vote probably won't matter (the primary being so late) I am maintaining an "interested but uncommitted observer" status through most of this. I expect I will use up any political passion I have defending President Bush over the next two years.

I will vote Republican, even if it is McCain. I will not vote for a democrat or stay home.

I hope one of the Republicns breaks from the pack and shows himself to be a true leader. Right now they are all sort of lumped together as far as I am concerned.

It's a wait and see for me too at this stage. I don't think anyone can come from out of nowhere this late because of the money and organization needed to be competitive in this front loaded season. I'll vote for and support any Republican in an effort to keep the WH out of the democrats control. I'd hate to see them with control of both houses and the WH.....

President Bush will need a lot of help during his remaining time. The wolves are circling and will be howling at every opportunity.

take care........

At least McCain has stated that he is Pro-life

What has McCain done about Roe vs Wade though, that's what counts.

Actually you are wrong. The correct question would be: "Who will Senator McCain choose as Supreme Court Justices"?

I seen that on the news this morning. On the same day that Mitch endorses McCain. I'll never vote for a McCain.

Come to Daniel's defense.

LOL. Thanks for pinging me, Southlake.

I'm not a fan of McCain, to be sure. But if he's our nominee, I will support him 100%. It is imperative that we hold the presidency if we are to have any hope of winning the war on terror.

I wish Daniels would have held off on this endorsement. He's probably angling for a cabinet position in the McCain administration--Sec. of Treasury or somesuch.

In any case, his endorsement is his own personal opinion. Doesn't much matter to me.

BREAKING NEWS: Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels endorses Sen. John McCain

By The Times

ARLINGTON, Va. | U.S. Senator John McCain’s presidential exploratory committee today announced that Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels will support the Arizona Senator should he decide to seek the presidency.

“John McCain is a longtime friend. More importantly, he is a principled leader with a history of integrity, opposing excessive government spending, and dealing honestly with the American people," Daniels said in a news release from McCain's presidential exploratory committee.

“The term ‘great American’ applies to very few people, but it indisputably fits John McCain,” Daniels said.
