Governor Daniels of Indiana will endorse McCain
WIBC radio | WIBC radio

According to WIBC radio, Governor Mitch Daniels will endorse Senator John McCain for president. I am pretty sure this is a done deal, because there was a clip of Daniels speaking about how he admired Senator McCain for his personal history, although he would support any Republican candidate.

Well, I've told everybody who has a bone to pick with Mitch they have to take what they don't like for the greater good versus the previous sixteen years. Getting a dose of my own medicine apparently.

Me, too. I doubt it will have much effect nationally, since our primary is so late. It DOES show how out-of-touch Daniels is with the electorate, which I had not thought the case.

Endorsements seem to be weakening their impact. With each election cycle they seem to mean less than in the previous cycle.

I saw a news clip on FNC this morning of McCain saying Roe vs Wade should be overturned. No doubt the Christian Right leaders he has hired in Iowa had something to do with this.

I found the announcement confusing, because there was no comment as to whether or not he felt the issue should be decided by individual State Legislatures or whether he was just drawing a line and saying all abortions should be outlawed.

If you find a clarification to his comments, please ping me to them.

I suspect Mitch has Presidential ambitions of his own. Perhaps trying to by a nod for the VP in a McCain candidacy.

Daniels keeps on making sure he won't get another term. He is turning out to be a real sorrowful disappointment. He has been playing at being a Democrat.

YOU really think the media numbers matter at this time? Moreover, have you stopped to think why the media is pushing Rudy?

The reason we are in the mess we are in now is because of the RINOS and RUDY is a RINO. At least McCain has stated that he is Pro-life and although McCain has ticked me off with his need to be pragmatic....his voting record on Conservative issues look much better than what Rudy has to offer.

Most of all, at this time, I can not say who'll I'll support because this is far too soon to discuss the 2008 race in such depth. Let the dust settle and let's keep an eye on Pelosi who has just hired one of Soro's legal council to work with her. This is the type of stuff we need to watch and stand against instead of fighting within our own party.

Unless Jesus Himself comes and endorses McCain, I'm not going to vote for the guy.

In defense of Mitch, he's really not a politician. He's a businessman. He's likely looked at who is out there, and who among those are even electable and put support behind him.

This infighting and the movement to purge the GOP of the "RINOs" will get us nowhere.

Daniels jumped the shark when he forced hoosiers onto DST when 70% of us passionately opposed it. He should have read the polls.

Quite true. I just am mystified as why he felt the need to comment at all. It's not like everyone was waiting around to see who he would endorse.

Well, like I said, it really doesn't matter because our primary is late, and most Hoosiers will vote for whom they want, anyway.

It was just one of those pieces of news that made me feel like I had dropped down the rabbit hole.
