Right Now, Duncan Hunter and possibly Newt seem to be our only options.

I've volunteered for Duncan's campaign ;-)

So did I, here in Miami FL. But the whole sheBANG is run on such a shoestring budget that they don't even have coordinators for my state and it's one of the crucial swing states! I'm very much afraid that he'll never get enough financial traction to compete. I also have to say that if Fred Thompson gets in, I'll jump ship in a heartbeat.

Assuming that the Shamnesty bill is quashed in the next few days....

IMO Republicans are actually graced this election with several good candidates for POTUS/VPOTUS and who would support a fairly conservative agenda (I hope).

Hunter, Gingrich, Romney, and Thompson would all support the fundamentals of a conservative platform. It's unlikely that any of them would be sideswiped into nation building, gay rights, internationalist twiddling, or other leftist fantasies.

I'd be happy to support any of the above, in whatever combination of POTUS/VPOTUS they can work out among themselves.

Fred Thompson and/or Duncan Hunter for president ticket.

Newt has long since jumped the shark.
