I took a poll of the seven people in my house this morning and Rudy got zero. I'll alert the media.

Call the Star, because the Enquirer is already covered...

LOL! Anyone who would post an article from the Enquirer does not have all of their dogs barking... ROTFL!

Another charge is that Hunter is an earmark porker, and loves to spend money at least as much as Bush, if not more.

Hunter defends earmarks. However, he also makes all of his earmarks public knowledge, unlike the rest of the Congresscritter who keep them secret, so the public can decide if the earmarks are pork or properly-directed spending (he has pushed, for example, for better IED counterefforts, but has also pushed for defense contracts for companies in his district - but at least you know what he has put in for).

Well sunshine is always a plus, but earmarks are evil, since they are not subject to a vote. Hunter is suspect on economic issues, in my book.

Sorry, but I wont help the MSM. I know nothing that you cant find on your own.

You are full of it, quite frankly. You claim this is common knowledge. If that is the case, the MSM knows about it.

You claim we can find this by Googling it. If that is the case, it came from the MSM for the most part.

Put up links. AmeriBrit tried this nonsense word for word. And she was found to be a bald-faced liar. So excuse us if we question your veracity for pulling the exact same gambit.

Hunter only stole 80K? Yawn.

That ain't even freezer money for a Democrat.

Actually, the 80K reference had nothing to do with Hunter, it was the speaking fee Rudy purportedly pocketed from a Katrina fundraiser.

Any newspaper named the "Enquirer" is pretty much the same really... except the tabloid is probably a little more accurate...

They are subject to vote on the larger bill. Like I said, I read through his earmarks and didn't find outlays for a ten-million-dollar grant for a museum documenting the repression of Albianian lesbians in American society. All Hunter's earmarks were military-related.

This is not the National Enquirer. It is the Cincy Enquirer. I'm not quite sure which one is more credible.

Duncan has a left leaning position on trade but is a supply sider on taxes. He is average as a GOP spender according to National Taxpayers Union. Not a Club for Growth type but an ACU type with a lifetime rating of about 92.

I knew all that a long time ago. Nobodys perfect but DH sees things pretty much the same way I do. In fact neither of us is prone to sartorial splendor but both of us are what you see is what you get. For better or worse. :-}

I'm not sure how we can prove the respective negatives.

The Rudybots have an obsession.
For weeks, it has been Duncan who? or innuendos about him.
As a native and several decades long resident of San Diego, if there was anything to smear on Duncan Hunter the S.D. Union Trib would be in their glory to print it.
As I have said on several other slime threads, there is no there, there.

While we are in the war of our lives, I want a candidate who can't be called a chicken hawk, Hunter a Viewnam war vet and his son 2 tours in Iraq.
Recent Chairman of the Armed Services Comm.
and social conservative.
Hunter has stood down Murtha and his bunch on the floor in congress.

He has also authored the border fence bill.

For those who talk about fiscal matters, if we don't win the war against the Islamofascist, savings, trade, money talk of any kind makes no difference.
If we loose, they don't make pockets in shrouds.

If the country club republicans don't want to think of winning the war first, then please contain yourselves and let those who are trying to save our way of life do their job. My relatives who have fought in Iraq and will be going back will thank you.

There is about a year to the primaries.

Duncan Hunter may be the best of all possible candidates, but very few people outside SCal know him, or even know of him.

He has to sell himself through ads and public appearances between now and the primaries. And time's a wastin'.

Good luck. May the best candidate win.

Hunter has been on many national programs ie Meet the Press, etc. over the years and C

I have read on FR on so many posts that many don't watch the news, talking head programs, don't watch FOX, etc.
Hunter has been out there over the years, if some don't keep up with international, national affairs in the media not his fault.
