He gave the answer that I would expect the President of the United States to give.

He however made it clear in the rest of the Press Conference where he stood and what he expected Congress to do in respect of funding and support of the troops and why.

I do not want this to end up as an agrument so I have said all I am going on the subject.

I heard a Dem ditz woman on one of the talk shows the other night...and when the GOP (Hannity?) host said that the the resolution was non-binding, and if the Dems had really wanted to make a stand they should have made it binding with cutting funds included.

Well..the dem ditz' comeback was, "If this non-binding resolution is so worthless...then why were Prs. Bush's aides ALL OVER THE CAPITOL TALKING TO THE POLTICIANS"...


IOW...Between Pres. Bush's "advice" to Congress in his speech about the necessity to fund the military completely...and him sending people to Capitol Hill to make sure they get the message..

I would say he is doing far more than he is getting credit for.
