More importantly, Wallace allowed Levin's comments about North Korea go unchallenged. Levin's statement suggested that Bush is now taking the Clinton approach to North Korea. Bush stepped back 2 steps and moved forward 2 steps to get back to Clinton's approach. Levin is pleased that Bush moved to the Clinton approach. How can this not be challenged?
This is the 2nd week in a row that I have been watching intently and noticed how poor Wallace has been. Last week's interview with Feith was particularly miserable. Wallace did not listen to or effectively engage anything Feith said. Last week I also responded on FR that I was incredulous that Wallace blamed the Republicans for what he acknowledged were the media misleading reporting (in laymen's term - lies).
I know that Wallace has tried to take his father's bulldog approach and challenge people. When done with an excellent awareness of facts and on a fair basis, that is a good thing. Wallace does not seem to have a good command of the facts and he does not seem to be able to think on his feet.
I am not sure that I can put a name on Wallace's performance. I will be close watching over the next weeks and share my conclusions.

Too bad they were not on the court when Bush signed the unconstitutional BCRA. That's TWO accomplishments by the way. Maybe it's two, time will tell.

I don't hate Bush. You are the one being emotional. The fact is that he signed a bill that he himself said had constitutional questions. The Republicans passed and Bush signed one spending bill after another. The Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003 was not needed. HR 1298 spent billions of taxpayer money in Africa. Why should US taxpayers pay for such things and where do we stop? And now how do you stop billions more being spent on the same thing forever?
When people in Washington or anywhere else do things to reduce our rights and as they did with the BCRA or throw taxpayer money down the toilet in my opinion I'll say something about it. It's not hate, it's looking at things and saying something about those things. You call that whining, childish, nonsense, pathetic, inexcusable and ignorant. Sounds like Congress.
Along with the things I mention above I suppose you think the handling of illegals aliens by the president and congress are good ideas too?
Pres. Bush was asked a question about the upcoming POTUS elections at last week's press conference.
He said that he would not be making any comments one way or another regarding any elections...
He did say that once he left office that he would help out in any way that the GOP asks...
I bet he WILL have some choice words after he leaves office..but, he will still disappoint a lot of people...because he IS his father's son about being a gentleman...and not being nasty like Clinton, Gore, carry, Hillary...etc.
Did CNN actually "steal" Chetry? I got the impression that she was demanding a huge bump in salary and that she replace Gretchen. Frankly, I'm happy to see her go. I always thought she had too high an opinion of herself. What now becomes of her dopey, weatherman husband?
Yes. At times, you got the impression that the host didn't really care that much if the Republicans lost - and it even might be a good thing. They kept saying that because of [one issue or another] Republicans deserved to lose. It seems to be a MUST to show that they are "independent" and they do SO criticize Republicans. They're really defensive about that.
We would have had Harriet Miers instead of Alito if Bush had had his way. And the Rep Congress confirmed them both with some help from the gang of 14 that brokered the compromise.
He has lost his mind........

The Dems don't have to even hide that they are "going after" those 21 Senators...and they are going to do it any way they can.
Gloves off...but, the GOP doesn't play that way, unless it is against others in the same party.
I have heard even talk show hosts like Laura Ingraham and Bill O'Reilly go after the GOP politicians with so much more venom than the dems...and so the dems have a head start in defeating the GOP...
That is what helped in 2006...and it will be repeated in 2008, because the above named talk show hosts do NOT take criticism...or would ever admit that they were part of the defeat...

Reagan was under constant attack by the Dems who demonized him. Remember Iran-Contra. Hell, Nancy was even critized incessantly from anything to astrology to the WH china. You have a selective memory.
I never said anything like that nor would I agreed with any of those points. I've been more and more frustrated with the Republicans as they kept picking up Democrat Party issues and making them their own. I understand the concept of using political Jujutsu but it can be a dangerous and expensive way to go. And it confuses the voter who as the last election cycle proved can come to see that there is not a lot of difference between the two parties whether that's factual or not. And then all it takes is one hot button issue to sway the vote.
Before the president was first elected I used to post here things like "don't ever play poker with George W. Bush" and "when you are in the room with him he's the smartest guy in the room". I'm not one of those people that have openly disagreed with him until recently.
The Dems used to whine when they lost elections claiming voter fraud, a biased press that didn't get their message out, voter turnout, etc. Talk show hosts don't win or lose elections. The GOP needs good candidates, a positive agenda, and a return to the principles that made us successful ala 1994 and the Contract with America.

I have read articles about how George Allen was wrong NOT to pursue voter fraud possiblities in Virginia...and other politicians on OUR side not being more bulldogish..when it comes to those type problems after elections.
Also...I think any "good" candidate doesn't have a chance if the talk show hosts and other media people aren't on board...and I think that DID play a big part in 2006.
I think the constant bashing of the GOP for the border thing...overspending, the war..blah, blah...made too many stay home.
NOW they are whining...
Laura Ingraham was constantly complaining about Bush..every day...leading up to the elections in 2006...you don't think that didn't influence people?? I do...and I think it is a SHAME..I don't like it...but I do believe she and others had a lot of influence.
Just like this upcoming election...
NONE of the main talk show hosts give any credit, and thus very little "air time" to Duncan Hunter's chances.
It is a self-fulfilling prophecy on their part.
How could he get any traction when the media goes around telling his own possible constituents he doesn't have a chance...even though his agenda is SO much closer to the conservative agenda than any of the "frontrunners".
