Dang, Ali....I went to this site to watch the video..and it said that video is no longer available.
I have been SO impressed by your posts today...especially the ones regarding Pres. Bush's handling of his critics...here and in the MSM and Congress.
He is the POTUS...the last two letters standing for United States...not just the conservatives or Republicans..and, since he is supposedly the most powerful man in the world...I would never want to see a temper tantrum ...
We saw those during Clinton's years...and they were embarrassing...
The Reaganites consider it criticism of Reagan..and I can understand that...but really what some of us are attempting to do is set the record straight...and put the "person" back in Reagan...instead of beatifying him into a SAINT.
Hear, hear! Well said, Pukin Dog!
With Clinton, we had someone play around with words just enough so that the MSM would be happy. But polls showed that he had created a reputation of being less than truthful. LOL Ya think?
With W, the appeal was a plain spoken man who did what he believed was right. So in the same way that 4 years of Carter gave us 8 years of Reagan and 4 years of Bush 41, 8 years of 2 Clintons gave us 8 years of W.
I can't remember the link, but someone did look at the polling on W's negatives and found that they weren't deep-- that while people tended to have disagreements with his policies that he still carries a lot of respect. And lets not forget that even at the SOTU, even the slimiest liberal Dem wanted to be seen, photographed with W. If he's such poison, why would that be? Sure there is BDS but in this country, it's restricted to the elites who want the old ways back.
And here's a look why we should re-think the idea of who are friends really are

If you take a look on Iraq the Model, the situation in Baghdad has improved dramatically. http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com/2007/02/attacks-in-baghdad-down-by-80.html
Yeah, but they were referring to her sleeping with jerky Joe Wilson before they were Married, and the under the Covers Pillow Talk where she spilled her guts about working for the CIA. LOL!
I heard Odom on Hugh Hewitt and I also heard Burns from the NYTimes...and HE is the one with the more comprehensive and real-life take on this war.
He has lived in Iraq..and even though he is probably very inclined to be a Bush basher...he is honest enough to say that Iraq isn't nearly as "dire" as the anti-war crowd wants everyone to think it is...
Odom is just the opposite. After listening to him...I couldn't figure out who makes the WORSE "expert" Lt. Gen. Odom or Gen. Wesley Clark...
Both are pathetic...and should be an embarrassment to the military.

Well said, PD.
He might have an advantage that Chris does not have, he may be sober most of the time.
Still recuperating; brain cells jarred loose from all the coughing. I am relying on others who express far better what I would if my brain were in working order.
The following is from http://www.justoneminute.typepad.com.
Poster "The Other Tom" is responding to a troll who is orgasmic that the Dems are turning on our military to hurt Bush. There is something quite unpleasant about the joy expressed by fellow Americans at the possibility of America's defeat and ignominy. Where do they plan to run to when the war comes here?
"Hell, Cleo dear, you and the people who put the words in your mouth are invested to the hilt in failure--indeed, if I had a dirty mind I'd think you were fervently hoping for it.
Not a one of you can come to grips with the notion that a hard war is hard to win. You are blind to the consequences of Carter's supineness in 1979, Reagan's in Lebanon, and Clinton's in Mogadishu and on numerous occasions thereafter. Osama bin Ladern surely is not, as he has so often stated.
By insisting on failure in Iraq, you invite consequences that will dwarf those of 9/11. The US has lost fewer men in this war than it lost in taking the island of Iwo Jima, where all we got was a sulphurous island. What we have achieved in Iraq is the elimination of an extremely hostile and aggressive, oppressive regime and its replacement by a democratic government struggling, with US help, to survive.
It has a chance, but you don't want to give it one--why not, one wonders? I can't say that you and those like you are cowards, since I know nothing about you personally. What I can say, with great confidence, is that you and your colleagues--and the Democratic congress--are urging a decidely cowardly course for the United States.
If you succeed with your efforts to steer this country on that course, you will reap a whirlwind that is beyond your comprehension. But it seems that you're more than willing to do that, if in the process you can avenge yourselves on George Bush. It is hard to escape the conclusion that you have simply lost your minds."

LOL
They are already there. Who is President?
LOL LOL LOL
Cheers,

It's just their focus group tested talking points.
If more people actually knew anything, they'd run folks like Hagel out of town.
I ask myself over and over, what kind of person do you have to be to lie repeatedly like that? How do you live with yourself? I have no answers.
A hero dies only once, but a COWARD dies a thousand times.
What a fabulous description of Hagel's downward spiral.
Michael Reagan...RR's son wrote a column warning people about making Reagan's actions "more" and "different" than what they really were...and what happened???
Freepers were calling Michael Reagan an idiot..and saying HE was wrong about his own father!!!
NAH...the Reaganites are like the Clintonistas...totally "right"...and anyone else is totally wrong.
Make that "the coward relives his humiliation a thousand times".
Just ask Hillary Clinton why she's terrified of Fox News?
And that, my friend, is the bottom line.
President Bush did the same thing in his speech within the last few weeks....producing a hugh stack of paper with the CR on it...with millions of dollars of earmarks.
Did you hear about that???
Is that "legend"...NO...never will be.
Was I the only one who disliked Tiki Tuesdays? I used to bombard Fox News with emails about him...I found him SO boring, no pizazz, total empty suit. I never could understand all the hoopla.
