Tony's interview with fat Tim is "must see t.v."

Here's my take on the interview which I just watched, most of it anyway.

Tony politely beat up on fat Tim as those who easily handle bullies so often do.

Heres' a few samples:

Russert asks if "things went wrong in the war"

Tony's reply: "it's a war, things always go wrong"

What he really said was 'you asshol... of course things go wrong, no wars are perfect.'

Here's another subtle Snow slam of snarky Russert;

Russert:Why doesn't' the adm. call out Saudia Arabia for supporting the terrorists?"

Snow reply:You don't always call out in public your biggest allies in the Mideast.

What Tony really meant to say:

Tim, you ignorant slut, only an idiot would call out the Saudis for misdeeds in public, besides we need Saudi Arabia far more than we need NBC or any of you DBM types. So please Tim, STFU or ask some intelligent questions.

Needless to say Tony handled the mashed potato man handily.

Brit's slapdown of Murtha was one of the most accurate descriptions ever made in the media about 'Lardass'. All that was missing was Brit calling him a 'pinhead*'.

Libs operate on feelings. Feelings are personal and cannot be debated. That is why they get upset when we try to debate them into denying their feelings. Feelings trump facts. In a neurological sense they are in a deeper part of the brain.

I have started using 'feeling' questions with my lib friends, and they do not shut down right away. I recognize that they get their news from npr and public television, and from a lot of Catholic writing which is teeth-grindingly liberal. I am Catholic, too, but do not accept the Liberation Theology/Marxist message that pervades some, or the "we must help the poor and Republicans don't want to help the poor" feeling that motivates others.

One of the president's big problems has been the "new tone" pablem he's pushed from the beginning. He's turned the other check so many times only to get it slapped by the democrats and the media I lost count. When someone does not stand up for themselves they are not leading. It's hard to follow someone like that.

George W. Bush does not have the ability to communicate such that he inspires any passion in anyone else. He does not seem to have any passion within himself. He's more like Mr. Rogers than Mr. Reagan.

Agreed having posted the dose 1 - 2 times a week for 18 plus months and having read most of his speeches in that time I concur.

Now how pray tell...do you propose the President "Punch through" the Democrat Media?

By being accusatory. Instead of warmly welcoming Democrat sedition as "honest disagreement", he should say that the Democrats are siding with the terrorists, because it's the truth. He needs to stir up a hornets nest of indignation. Then when the Democrats cry, "How dare the President question our patriotism?!", he should reply, "Patriots don't stab American troops in the back.", and so forth. Bring the battle to the enemy.

Absolutely 100% in agreement Johnnie. Some on our side need to take a long, hard look in the mirror before they cast stones at the Pres.

This is a fight we're ALL in TOGETHER. We aren't sponges who sit and soak it up all day. Sometimes I think some see politics as a spectator sport. WE need to get out and fight along side the Pres.

Letters to the editor. Phone calls to poiliticans. Phone calls to the DBM, local and national. Emails. In other words, participate.

In fairness to Pat, she's out there, going to Repub meetings, writing, etc.

What Relationship Is Allard "Severing?"

"NBC sinks too low for this talking head" is the headline on Ken Allard's latest column for the San Antonio Express-News.

Apparently disgusted by what he calls "the network's precipitous retreat from journalistic and ethical standards," he declares: "With great reluctance and best wishes to my former colleagues, with this column I am severing my 10-year relationship with NBC News."

Except -- he's never had a formal relationship with NBC News! All his work has been on an appearance-by-appearance basis. "Mr. Allard is not under contract to NBC and hasn't appeared on our air in nearly a year," an NBC spokesperson said this afternoon. "In truth, there's really nothing to sever."

Today's Page Six emphasizes Fox's side of the Kiran Chetry story. It says "fast-sinking, second-place CNN picked up top-rated Fox's crumbs" by signing Chetry as a substitute anchor and correspondent.

At the end of the item, a Fox insider says: "Let's see what happens. Remember, the last one they took from us was Paula Zahn, and look where she went."

An e-mailer notes that "there's a history of FNC hastily firing and then absolutely trashing any talent who talk to CNN. Remember Paula Zahn? When Ailes learned she was talking with CNN, he fired her immediately, leading to Zahn being on CNN six months earlier than expected..."

Tribune Sues FNC For Use Of "Red Eye"

Chicago Tribune Co. is suing FNC for trademark infringement over its new show Red Eye. Crain's reports: "In its February 14 complaint, Tribune says its five-year-old daily RedEye tabloid edition and the Fox show 'contain nearly identical content' and 'viewers are quite likely to assume that Fox and the RedEye products owned by Tribune are collaborating, thereby causing confusion.'"

Red Eye premiered on FNC two weeks ago. The network admits that it didn't run a trademark search before naming the show.

A hearing is set for Feb. 26. FOXNews.com no longer calls the late-night show Red Eye; instead, it's titled "Greg Gutfeld's Show."

Half an hour into her first broadcast, FNC's Greg Kelly introduced Courtney Friel this way: "Here's the superstar, Courtney Friel. Journalist. Could be a model."

"Could be," Kelly Wright added.

Janice Dean noticed their fawning: "You guys have to wipe the drool off your mouths," she remarked.

She'll be back on Fox & Friends tomorrow morning...

CNN's One-Hour Deal With Chetry

CNN and Kiran Chetry have been flirting with each other for years.

"I felt she would be a good person to have in the mix, but I also thought there's no chance of her becoming available unless extraordinary circumstances intervened," Jon Klein tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking of extraordinary circumstances...

"I couldn't believe that this was dropping into my lap," Klein says. After conferring with Jim Walton and Joel Cheatwood, THR says "the deal was done with a verbal agreement less than an hour later."

"I've never been involved in anything like this in 30 years in this business," Klein says...
