Homofascism Makes Hardaway Pay
America Talks ^ | February 17, 2007 | David Zublick

Posted on 02/17/2007 9:10:09 AM PST by AmericaTalks

The fallout over retired basketball player Tim Hardaway's comments regarding homosexuals has been over-the-top.

Hardaway, in a radio interview, said he "hates gay people". He later apologized, but the reverberations from his remarks sparked immediate outrage by the gay community. He was labeled a bigot and a homophobe. The NBA banned him from participating in this weekend's All-Star Game festivities in Las Vegas. Commissioner David Stern said "We acted immediately, we told him he couldn't do any more work for us because his views don't represent our views.

Well, Hardaway's views may not represent the official views of the National Basketball Association, but disapproval of homosexuality does reflect the opinions of a sizeable percentage of the American population. For most of this nation, which the last time I checked was still Christian, homosexuality is not regarded as a genetically engineered condition of birth, but rather an abomination abhorred by God.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, one that is sinful. To most of us, it is revolting. The acts committed in the name of this sin are sick and disgusting. But the gay advocacy groups have a loud voice in this country, and they have forced most Americans to be silent on the issue. The problem is that we are heading down a slippery slope which will eventually force us to "accept" as normal all means of behavior.

How long will it be before pedophilia is considered a lifestyle choice? Or bestiality? And how will those who disagree and are repulsed by these sins be labeled? Pedophobes? Beastophobes? And let's not forget something like polygamy. If you are against men and women having multiple spouses, should you be shunned by society or lose your job because you dare to have this view?

The political correctness that has permeated our society over the last twenty years or so has gotten completely out of hand. Free speech isn't free any more. You say something that offends someone, and you are dead meat. The last time I checked, there was no right not to be offended in the United States Constitution.

Homosexuality has become a religious movement in this country. It is somehow considered sacred and untouchable. Its leaders in this movement act like Nazis and fascists, silencing those who dare to disagree with them. Those of us who find their behaviors abnormal have become too frightened to speak out because of the repercussions we may face.

There was an episode of the Twilight Zone called "It's a Good Life". It starred Billy Mumy as a six-year-old boy who holds an entire town hostage because he has the ability to read their thoughts. And if he doesn't like what they are thinking, he punishes them by wishing them away. That is exactly what is happening with the homosexual movement. If you speak up against it, you are in effect, wished away. I'm not even sure the NBA really believes that Tim Hardaway's views do not reflect their views. But they have to say what they said. They are being held hostage buy the Nazis in the gay religion.

It's really a shame.

It's his opinion, what right do we have to disallow it?

!

Disallow it? Not suggesting such.

Shouldn't decent people condemn it?

I defend his right to say that, yes.

As do I. And I also defend my right to say he's an idiot.

Hate the sin, love the sinner, anyone?

Decent people used to condemn homosexuality. Many still do, despite being flamed by the flamers for expressing their disgust at that perverted, vile, immoral lifestyle. Why condemn his opinion when he's right?

Just his right to say them.

No, that's not what I'm reading here. I'm reading people agreeing, and belittling his critics.

Unless my comprehension is failing me . . .

Yes. Furthermore, I agree with him. I dislike homosexuals, and don't want them around me.

Ooohhh-kay!

I will die defending your right to say it. But I'll also reserve the right to draw my conclusions about you from your words!

Decent people mind their own business.

Do they, now?

If my neighbor said I *hate* religous folks, or I *hate* people who eat meat and I don't want to be around them -- I'd speak up and tell them I think their point of view is wrong.

Maybe that's just my bad, then.

Draw what conclusions you will, as I have already done about you. Nonetheless, I as well would die to defend your right (and Tim Hardaway and John Rocker's) to express your (and their) opinion.

I actually had some respect for this guy. Not that he hates gays, but that he said what he really believes. I don't care if he hates dogs or gays or people with blue eyes or cole slaw. If you are truthful about it, at least others know where you are coming from. If you hide it, no one ever really knows. I wish more folks would just call it like they see it.

lets see, Tim Hardaway makes his views known about gays, gays and the pc police get their undies in a bunch, and the NBAbasically condemns Tim Hardaway.

Maybe everybody who AGREES with Hardaway should boycott the NBA. Turning the gays tactics back at them.

Oh I forgot, sports is more of a religion in the US than actual religion is.

My lord . . . are you folks really defending this silly man's words?

First, the fact that Tim Hardaway said something silly doesn't make him a silly man, in and of itself.

Secondly, suppose Tim Hardaway had said that he hated Christians, or that they were a menace, as Elton John recently did. As far as I know, nobody called out for Elton John to be blacklisted by the Grammy's, etc., because Christians are not, by and large, a perpetually aggrieved special interest group--- their shoulders are broader than that. The Homosexualist lobby, however, is just an interest group, and David Stern is a politically correct twit. Did he censure Charles Barkley "that's what I hate about white people" after the latter's obnoxious comments?

Of course, there are exceptions to what I said about Christians; they can play the victim card too. Luckily when Allan Houston and Charlie Ward (then of the Knicks) did it, they were going off on those sinister Jooos (Ward: "Jews are stubborn. ... There are Christians getting persecuted by Jews every day.") and Stern let them off scot free.

Being viscerally repulsed by male homosexuality is perfectly natural-- it's based on an action that's to say the least, pretty icky to most people--an act that's also immoral and degrading. Hardaway wrongly judged homosexuals as being fully characterized by that act, much as you wrongly judged him as being fully characterized by his recent statements. Hardaway was obviously wrongheaded and hateful in his comments, but they're just words.... Like Elton John, he's free to have his own opinions, however hateful, and David Stern is free to be a hypocrite. However, when he is, he can and should expect to be criticized for it.

Or, I'm one of the many alive who try *not* to let our predjudices judge people as a group?

I try to take individuals as individuals. I try to judge each person on what's in his or her heart, and by how they treat others and how they act, individually.

We all pre-judge. It's just that some of us don't realize that's a mistake. :-)

What's the problem with hating homosexuals.

Their organized movement has causd the spread of AIDs, it shelters organizations like NAMBLA, it permeates the spread of ideas through elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and colleges that homosexuality is normal.

Anyone who publicly disagrees with acceptance of homosexuality has their career ruined or their character impugned. .

PS I hate homosexuals too. They are out to ruin and destroy my culture. Hate Hate Absolutely Hate them for what they are doing.

He's a goof ball for these views. Elton John is a silly man, too. Charles Barkley is a funny guy, but I can't imagine anyone (*besides* himself) takes him seriously.

When silly people say silly things, we should all condemn them, in my opinion. Many here on this thread are *agreeing* with him. Which of course, they have a right to do.

Gay dudes are wierd. No question. I don't get them. My wife's best friend in college was gay, he died of Aids years ago.

But *hate*???

Just seems awfully un-Christian, I guess! Then again, I'm not really much of an expert on that subject anyway.

It's just that seeing this kind of talk on FR surprised me.

Hate is merely an intense dislike for something. No one hates like a liberal. Liberals are trying to legislate out of existence everything they hate. We'd better prepare ourselves to live under about a trillion laws while they have any influence in this world (talk about a loss of freedom!). So let's not forget just how hypocritical these creeps are.

Anyway, I just checked the Ten Commandments again and guess what? They don't say anything about not hating pedophiles or other perverts. Nor do they say anything about not hating murderers, thieves, etc. Funny how God-hating libs try to redefine His commandments in order to make themselves respectable on Earth.

I know it's in vogue nowadays to say "hate the sin and not the sinner," but excuse me... We ARE allowed to hate (dislike) Satan, tyrants, murderers, rapists, thieves, pedophiles, etc. It's only human.
