The Mahdi Army may be the major target of joint Iraqi-UK operations in Basra, sources in the city have told IraqSlogger.
A curfew is in force in the city, and Iraqi forces conducted house-to-house searching today, especially in areas near Basra University, IraqSlogger has learned from eyewitnesses.
Iraqi and British officials have been tight lipped about the intended targets of the security plan, which have imposed a security cordon across all land and sea entry points to the city.

What are some good places to get news about what is happening in Iraq? Leaving aside their bias, them major outlets are still sad because of the lack of detail and moronic pseudoanalysis.

I have a problem with michaelyon-online: his posting aren't dated. He seems more interested in selling his stuff than being a blog author. This doesn't take away from his character but it makes his board less interesting to me.
I have to agree. I just look for information and I find some there.
