I just "symbolically rejected" Nancy Pelosi.
Fortunately, I'm alone in my office right now, so I won't get in trouble.
How did Gene Taylor (D-MS) vote?
Oh, how cute. The RINOs have their own website.
From the Waterbury Republican-American yesterdays editorial, which I am sending to these 17:
"Some in Congress, especially the top members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, John Warner, R-Va., and Carl Levin, D-Mich., are disgracing their country, undermining the war effort, demoralizing our troops, and inspiring Islamofascists to more torture, murder and terror -- all because most members desire to improve their standing with the anti-war left and in some cases jockey for better position in the 2008 presidential race.
Unambiguously, they are telling terrorists across the Middle East and America's enemies throughout the world that the elected representatives of the American people no longer support a war for this nation's survival and the freedom of the Iraqis; America has lost the will to fight, let alone win; the terrorists have won; America is ready to turn tail and run.
Not long after unanimously endorsing Gen. Petraeus' mission, finger-in-the-wind congressmen are doing their utmost to ensure its failure, which ultimately will give the ghoulish news media a whole new batch of body bags to count. These poltroons don't deserve the privilege of representing the American people."
All in Congress have their own web site, not just these scumbags.
Thanks for the list, Rocket. I'm glad to see that my state (CO)'s three strong conservatives (Tancredo, Musgrave, and Lamborn--my own congressman) voted Nay. The four scumbag liberals, of course, voted yea. I'm e-mailing all seven with my views on their votes.
I'd like to see a citizens' resolution condemning these cowards-- copying their resolution to look something like this:
<
Resolved by the undersigned citizens of The United States, That
(1) The Liberals in Congress continues to lie to the American people in saying that they will support and protect the members of the
United States Armed Forces who are serving or who
have served bravely and honorably in Iraq; and
(2) The Liberals in Congress disapprove of the decision of
President George W. Bush announced on January
10, 2007, to deploy more than 20,000 additional
United States combat troops to Iraq.
(3) The goal of this non-binding resolution is to drive the cowardly cut and run UNPATRIOTIC liberals and those similar with an (R) after their name who signed the Congressional resolution, out of office.
>>These are the 17 voted against the surge now lets make it our mission to defeat these "patriots"...when they stand for reelection.<<
I think I would have abstained - I would not feel right voting either way on micromanaging the war - whats next? voting on how to deploy individual units? Thats why we have professional military and a commander in chief.
Is non-binding resolution a predecessor to restricting war funding?
Kirk voted for the resolution? I don't believe it! This guy was in military intelligence!
He's suppose to have a Town Hall meeting next month. I just may have to make an appearance and put his feet to the fire.
Thanks, Dog.
The only consolation, and it is cold comfort, is that it wasn't "the DOZENS of Republicans" the MSM had been saying all week were going to vote against the surge.
Still, it's another sad day for the GOP. :(
I believe wholeheartedly that the left is laying the groundwork to cut off funding.
If there's success in Iraq, no matter how hard the MSM tries to cover it up between now and 2008, the 'Rats know their chances of taking the White House get slimmer.
America is in a very ugly period of history right now.
I just sent a scathing message to the "Honorable" Heath Shuler about his vote. He makes me want to puke. Mr. Moderate indeed. That man is going to be quite sick of me by the time the next election rolls around. I'm not about to let that weasel forget he was elected as a blue dog democrat. So, far, he has voted party line on everything except the stem cell resolution.
Well up here in VA we have this clown Davis that just showed some true colors, we just recieved the gift of Webb, we have back to back Dem Govs, and John "The Joke" Warner. Virginia really is in decline!
BTTT.
Love your H. L. Mencken quote! That guy was a national treasure.
I've just e-mailed four of my seven congresscritters to tell them how I feel about their votes today. I'll call the remaining three when I get home.
I know. Ever seen the website for the Progressive Caucus? It's almost as bad as DU.
I just got home from St Louis...took Jonathan to visit family during his R&R...on the way home Hannity read my Repub Rep Tim Johnson from Illinois voted with Pelosi.....I called his office in DC on my cell phone in the car...I was furious with him....
I don`t knowe where Jones is from but I do know where I`d like him to go!
