The beginnings of a United States-Iran war?
Revolutionary Guard Grounds Forces Chief Nur Ali Shushkari claimed that Iranian commandos engraved the Revolutionary Guards emblem on the side of the US naval vessel undetected. Shishkari claimed the commandos used a submarine to approach the vessel.
The announcement was intended to be a threat to the US Army, which continues to build up its presence in the region. So reports Irans state-controlled IRNA news service.
Shortly after the announcement, a busload of Iranian Revolutionary Guards was blown up by a car bomb in the town of Zahedan, in the southeastern region of the Islamic republic, near the Pakistan and Afghanistan borders. IRNA said that the blast killed 11 people.
An Iranian official was quoted anonymously by IRNA saying the attack was carried out by a US-backed group, based on evidence gathered. The report said five suspects have been arrested. A group which has been on the spotlight of US media propaganda was responsible for the blast, the official said.
Governor Hassan-Ali Nouri of Zahedan said the attack was perpetrated by "saboteurs" who parked a bomb-laden car on the side of a road. When the bus passed, two armed men on motorcycles sprayed both the bus and the parked car with bullets, setting off the explosion.
These Iranians sure do have a sense of humor. Now, where is that launch button?
Baghdad Bob's now working for Iran? Or do they have their own Tehran Tom?
OK Iranians, let's see a picture of the graffiti!
Sounds like they've gotten too much radiation exposure.
That was my first thought, Submarines and Engravings, riiight. Engraving the side of a vessel would make a lot of noise. If anything happened it was probably more likely a guy wearing swimming trunks with a stencil and a spray can.
Huh?
That war has been going on since November 4, 1979. As Yogi Berra said, "You could look it up."
I really, honestly think, we're gonna see full scale engagement soon -- and the Dems are gonna turn blue about it, but there won't be a whole lot they can do.
I actually saw a documentary that blamed their mentality on in-breeding...they apparently marry their first cousins generation after generation. Yikes!
The Iranian Guards have lost 3,300 men in this area (Iranian/ Pakistan/Afghanistan border) since '79, when the Mullahs established their theocracy.
We've not had the assests in that area...for the most part, still don't. The article suggests someone is doing our bidding there. That's a laugh. Those people (the Baluch) have been oppressed by the Iranian Republican Guard for years. There has been low-level fighting and killing going on for between the indiginous folks and the Mullah's private little army. Now the Mullah's want to blame it on the U.S.? And this jewish Ezra Halevi is so STUPID that he passes these falsehoods on? The boy needs a swift kick in the pants!
I posted this article strictly for it's humor value.
I am well aware of it's absurdity.
Too bad I doubt that anyone in state has a low enough sense of humor to do this:
Stand up in the UN and to the Iranian ambassador say "We have several million dollars of military aid for the (whatever this group is), Could you tell us what address they are currently using?"
