I like what I see in this fellow, for the most part. Of all the candidates with name recognition, he's the best policy-wise.

The question is: Where does he stand now?

versus

where he stood at his last election?

Who cares where he says he stands now? He said too much of the opposite before. It's campaign season and he's a politician who wants conservatives to help him get in office. Go figure. Basic principles are not flexible matters. What's to keep him from reverting to his "moderate" (i.e., liberal) core on social morals once he's in?

Hey Mitt: NO DEAL!

Exactly. Only a fool believes a politician that says his position is different from his track record. Rudy's trying to pull that as well. The difference is that Mitt might be sincere. Either way, any new conversions need to age for at least one election cycle before I'll bite.

Spell check! Gary marriage?

Grammar check! "Upon researching the results of stem-cell research, he concluded to change his personal and public position."

Go Hunter.

How about you do a little research and find out rather than think you know the answer because somebody else told you.

For instance do you know the score given Mitt by the NRA?

What about Pro-life groups in Massachusetts who have actually worked with him?

Do you know his wife has MS and according to stem cell proponents could be helped by embryonic stems cells? Yet they are both against it.

Do you know Ronald Reagan was pro-abortion until one year before his first Presidential Run in 1976? He was a convert to the pro-life side and was passionate about it, as are most converts.

I'm with you. He had an interview on the Today Show the other morning. He did excellently, even using the tactic of talking over the empty suit doing the interview and trying to cut him off before he could finish explaing his stance on stem cell research.

Please go back and reread my reply. I was replying about grammar, not philosophy.
